I loved this book from start to finish. Beautifully written and narrated, I went from moments of awe to moments when goosebumps danced over my body. An experiencer myself, although I haven't experienced the owls, I was blown away by how these people's stories nevertheless meshed perfectly with mine. Told with great sensitivity, I can understand why so many people trusted Mike Clelland enough to retell their extraordinary otherworldly encounters.

I binged this. The narration done by the author puts you in the space of hearing these accounts first hand. He has very eloquently painted the picture of what it is to come to the realization that there is high strangeness in your life. It can be a long and winding road of mysterious markers and crumbs designed to wake you up. This collection of accounts paints the picture of what it is to notice the signs and how it changes your life. This is a great read for the curious reader and/or for those seeking and trying to make some sense of their own mysterious happenings. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more work from the author.

This book doesn’t disappoint with UFO phenomena but also has an amazing (and as an unexpected surprise) benevolence to it. Thank you for writing this book!

More than expected

For most of my life, owls have punctuated my world in some way or other. From a young boy when going owl spotting with my dad (or so I was told) coming back to a Mum that was upset, as we had been out for so long that night, to healing stories, to weird events, and collecting owls today, all the while my path ever broadening and showing me just how amazing this life can be. This book echoed in many ways, the events, emotions, the ever-mounting questions that no really ever get answered. Instead, more questions, bigger questions fill their spot.

To read this book and have those feelings confirmed in some weird way, was possibly the most brilliant thing about the journey from everyone’s stories. To have a feeling that I am not alone in all of this, is also comforting, though my happenings are more subtle than many of the awesome stories in the book.

I am if anything, a little jelous, but possibly now, a little wiser as to what I should try next for answers.

This is one of the few books that I will restart from the beginning and listen to once more. The biggest thing I have gleaned from all of my years learning and growing, is that this life is a fantastical journey, that most of us completely take for granted. I use the word “magic” a lot in my life, because really, there is no other word that describes it better for me.

So if you are weirdly interested in owls, ufo’s and other weird and cool stuff like this, give this book a a dance. It might help tick some boxes for you. :) x

Wonderful and familiar stories

Stories from the Messengers is carefully documented, thought-provoking, and occasionally even a little mind-bending. Clelland writes in the tradition of notable figures in the UFO field John Keel and Whitley Strieber, demonstrating the courage to embrace the high strangeness and compelling synchronicities common in the lives of close encounter witnesses. In the case of this book, unexpected owl sightings and behavior are explored in correlation to UFO activity. To those questioning whether the author is indulging in confirmation bias, finding owls where he wishes to find them, the volume of evidence he presents speaks for itself that there does appear to be a surprising connection. Lastly, hearing the material read by the author himself is a great bonus. An outstanding well-written audiobook for the open-minded.

Having been a longtime fan of Mike Clelland's podcast, Hidden Experience, I was very much looking forward to hearing him read his latest book in audio format. The book itself is excellent, along with the original Messengers, and listening to Mike present it is a special treat. Would love if he also did The Messengers as an audiobook and even though I've already read it, I would definitely listen to an audiobook version as well. Mike has the perfect kind of voice and way of speaking for presenting this material in a thoughtful and sensitive way, and in the absence of new Hidden Experience episodes, this is a welcome addition to my audio library.

Strangley, I came across Mike Clelland after looking up Super Natural from Whitley Strieber and Jeff Kripal but was confused about Graham Hancock's Supernatural of similar title and instead saw the piercing eyes of an owl on the cover of The Messengers and had to learn more. I'm glad I did dive into this end of the fringe as there most certainly is a phenomenon that Mike has tirelessly demonstrated in these books and his website and appearances on podcasts. Truly this revelation of a connection to the deeper reality will be something you can't under. Required reading of anyone interested in the UFO abductee phenomenon. A great read and a great performance by the author.
