About this listen

What is the nature of unidentified aerial phenomena?

Forty years ago a small cadre of dedicated researchers began actively investigating cases, interviewing witnesses, and exchanging data through a small, informal network of international contacts. Today this low-profile network, or "invisible college", has grown into a larger, multination volunteer research effort joined by many individuals. But the questions first raised 40 years ago remain current - and unanswered.

"I believe that a powerful force has influenced the human race in the past and is again influencing it now. Does this force represent alien intervention, or does it originate entirely within human consciousness? This is the question that forms the basis of the work of the Invisible College of UFO researchers." (Jacques Vallee)

Utterly Fascinating

Vallee looks at numerous cases that may have relation to UFOlogy. A must for fans of John Keel and J.A. Hynek. Exceptionally good.

The concept of the control system for consciousness

I read this book for information about the consciousness connection to ufo and paranormal and I learned a lot.

Excellent approach.

This book provides a unique approach to the UFO phenomena and the paranormal in general. I will make sure to listen to other books by the author.

Great book, marrarator, not so much

I’m sorry but, at certain points, it sounded like Prof Frink from The Simpsons was reading to me. Look, I know I don’t have a voice for audiobooks so I’m hesitant to be negative but, I probably won’t be listening to any more book narrated by this gentleman.

Still good

Although this isn’t a recent book on the topic, the stories in it contain a lot of UFO reports that I hadn’t heard elsewhere.

Wish it weren’t read by an elf.

I couldn’t stop hearing the voice of the narrator—although I can imagine the window of work is narrow for wacky voice actors—so I don’t begrudge this elf for seizing this opportunity.

intriguing perspective to marginalized mystery.

interesting new concepts and perspective to the most enigmatic side of life. As bonus - this is probably the best narrator I've ever listened to.

Excellent

I enjoyed this book way more than I thought I would. I recommend this book to anybody who enjoys the subject or knows anything about the invisible college or wants to learn more.

Did not disappoint

I’ve heard references to this book many times over the years. It is very well laid out and doesn’t insert more opinion than is necessary.
