great book, a good listen

What did you love best about Story Tellers?

It was an interesting story and had many stories within it. The person doing the narration was great and had a wonderful voice. The performance of the audiobook was perfect and I had no issues. I listened on the audible app on my phone. I really enjoy the entire audiobook and enjoyed the stories that were in it. It was written well and I enjoyed it immensely. I liked the way the book was set up with stories within a story. All the stories in the book are really good. I don't want to give away too much though. It really was great to listen to and I will listen to it again.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that it contained many stories within in it. It was almost like a collection of short stories. All the stories were good and I liked the perspective. The book features a storyteller who tells stories to a boy. I really enjoyed listening and liked the way the book was set up.

Have you listened to any of Rich Crankshaw’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not. This is my first one. He was pretty great though and his voice was wonderful. I feel he is great at doing audiobooks.

Who was the most memorable character of Story Tellers and why?

The most memorable character was the boy at the beginning who is listening to the storyteller. I thought he was a cute character and that he asked good questions.

Any additional comments?

This is a great audiobook that I will enjoy again at some point. I really enjoyed listening to it and felt it was a great book. I have read a short story by the same author so knew I would like this book already. The author is great and writes well.

A Wonderful Collection for All Ages

If you could sum up Story Tellers in three words, what would they be?

Wonderful story collection

What other book might you compare Story Tellers to and why?

This book reminds me of Grimm's Fairy Tales. Both books are collections of short stories that are sure to entertain and delight both young and old listeners. This audio book would be a great bedtime story book for children.

Have you listened to any of Rich Crankshaw’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my first audio book by this talented narrator. The narrator has the perfect voice for storytelling. He excels in a variety of voices: from the grandfatherly type who is telling the stories to the very excited child. The narrator has a great Spanish accent, too.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I especially enjoyed the Mother Earth and celestial themed stories. The stories have a gentle, calming effect that is sure to make children sleep well if they listen to this book as a bedtime story.

Any additional comments?

The book is filled with enchanting stories that are sure to entertain children and adults alike. From leprechauns to wizards, pots of gold to rainbows to soccer games, this book has it all. The book includes some religious references that are presented in a subtle manner and not at all "preachy" or overbearing. I would highly recommend this book to parents and grandparents who enjoy sharing a good story with the children in their lives.
