About this listen

An unlikely attraction brings comfort, joy, and unforgettable romance this holiday season!

Librarian Julia Winston is ready to ditch the quiet existence she's been living. She's made a list of new things to experience, but falling for Jamie Caine, her sexy military pilot neighbor, isn't one of them. Julia's looking to conquer life, not become the heartbreaker's latest conquest. But when two young brothers wind up in Julia's care for the holidays, she'll take any help she can get - even Jamie's.

Happy to step in, Jamie reveals a side of himself that's much harder to resist. Not only is he fantastic with kids, he provides the strength Julia needs to tackle her list. She knows their temporary family can't last beyond the holidays, but the closer she gets to Jamie, the more she wonders if things could be this merry and bright forever....

A total Winner

A tribute to all the foster parents who open their hearts and homes out of concern for others. This was such a great story. Another winner from RaeAnne Thayne.

Jamie Cain finally gets his story!

I've been waiting for Jamie to have his moment for awhile. Now if Charlie and Taryn from Hope's Crossing could have there's I will blissfully happy. Anyway. Again the author takes you back to Haven Point and you meet new characters along with old in this charming holiday tale of healing and love. Jamie who we met as a side character in Hope's Crossing and an earlier Haven Point story (Snow Angel Cove) Moves upstairs of slightly stuffy (and slightly broken) Julia. After a series of events Julia ends up with temporary custody of two boys. Jamie steps in and helps the overwhelmed woman. RaeAnne does what she always does and weaves an adorably sweet story together. Fans of her work will not be disapointed.

Something Different from RaeAnne Thayne!

This story was out of the normal formula that I have come to find with RaeAnne Thayne stories and I must say that I really, really enjoyed the unpredictability of it. Julia is the town librarian that everyone fears will turn into the town spinster since her mother's death. Jamie is the smoking hot pilot that needs a place to live while his condo is being finished away from his family due to his past. Jamie rents a room from Julia, Julia reaches out to two little boys that need a helping hand. This story is all about self-discovery and helping others in need. It was super sweet and touched on some possible triggering issues. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Beautiful story

The entire series tells of small town local people. All books by this author are well worth the read, some have more depth than others, This book stood out for me as it was one of the Caine brothers and seemed to miraculously include the family and part of their stories so the familiar connection was not broken. Any of this series are well worth the credit. The narrator is excellent.

A Special read for foster parents ❤ 💕 l

Not sure if mine experience with the foster care system is relevant . but this story has some real facts. I found it a little true to how foster families experience living together with the challenges that come with the system. You come to love the children in your care ❤ ,they can move in an afternoon. Then you have a broken 💔.
