About this listen
What if everything you’ve been told about weight loss was a lie?
For years, you’ve been sold a sugarcoated story: count calories, starve yourself, sweat it out, or pop a pill—and voilà, the pounds will melt away. But here you are, still battling the scale, still dreading the mirror, still wondering why every diet fails. Craig Beck, a man who once hauled around 252 pounds of regret, is here to shatter the myths and hand you the real secret to a slimmer, healthier you. Sugarcoated Lies isn’t just another diet book—it’s a wake-up call, a battle plan, and a promise: you can lose weight, feel amazing, and never go hungry again.
In Sugarcoated Lies, Craig exposes the truth Big Food doesn’t want you to know: 80% of supermarket shelves are laced with addictive sugar, wheat is a silent killer, and insulin—not calories—is the real puppet master behind your weight. Armed with a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM), he shows you how to spy on your body’s fat-storing tricks and outsmart them. Forget tiny portions or tasteless “diet” meals—this is about eating real food, enjoying every bite, and watching the pounds vanish. Imagine devouring a double sausage McMuffin (minus the bun), a tub of hummus, or a fiery vindaloo—all guilt-free, all while your blood sugar stays steady and your waistline shrinks.
This isn’t a fad, or a quick fix doomed to rebound like those overhyped GLP-1 drugs (Craig’s own brush with Semaglutide landed him in the ER—puffy-faced and wiser).
It’s a lifestyle shift that works because it’s sustainable. You’ll learn to eat like a caveman—meat, veggies, healthy fats—while dodging the modern poisons of soda, processed carbs, and “low-fat” traps. Craig’s Blood Glucose Diet says goodbye to healthy orange juice, smoothies and wholegrain breakfast sawdust; hello to delicious and filling berries, fibre-packed goodies and lots of savoury protein. This is the diet cheat sheet that rewires your subconscious to want to be slim and turns exercise into a joy!

Just one drink... it seems such an innocuous action that it couldn't possibly cause any substantial drama. In reality it is the same hoping to take just one little step off a cliff. It's only one seemingly insignificant step, but the consequences are rapid, irreversible and severe. Both events start off an unstoppable series of events. In Alcohol Lied to Me... Again, Craig gives you the tools to once again break the cycle of alcohol addiction.

I understand how it feels to be worried about your drinking because for nearly 20 years I struggled with my own problem. I tried everything to stop drinking alcohol, from creating silly rules about what I was "allowed" to drink to going through torturous "dry months" and taking dangerous prescription-only medication! Absolutely nothing I tried worked until I dramatically changed my thinking.

A Must Read Book!
I finished Craig's book this morning on my way to work. It's eye opening to say the least. I already changed my daily diet routine and purchased my own continuous blood sugar monitor to see my own results.
I love how he makes me laugh out loud to his frankness & great humor throughout this book. I could totally relate to everything he was speaking about and learned a lot from this book. Looking forward to a healthier me!
One line really stood out for me: "we aren't raising children, we are raising patients"!! OMG! Mothers/society please take heed to the knowledge in this book and make better choices for our future generations. They can't make these decisions for themselves....let's not doom them from infancy.
Thanks again Craig! Keep on writing, you're an excellent author.
