About this listen

After a life-changing event, Hunter decides that he can't go on....

...which lands him in Camp Sunshine, a rehab center for depressed teens. Hunter is determined to keep everyone there out of his head, especially his therapist. But when he meets Corin, a beautiful, mysterious, and confident fellow camper, all Hunter wants to do is open up to her - despite the fact that he's been warned Corin is bad news.

When Corin devises a plan for them to break out of the camp, Hunter is faced with the ultimate choice - will he run from the traumatic incident he's tried so hard to escape, or will he learn that his mistakes have landed him right where he's meant to be?

Our history can’t be re-written

Sunshine is Forever is an adventurous young adult’s novel that takes on teen suicide and depression with brutal honesty. Although the subject matter is dark, there’s a lot of fun to be had as we ride along with Hunter while he navigates his way through a summer at camp suicide.

The main character, Hunter, is sure he’s a lost cause until he meets Corin, a beautiful and confident young woman who inexplicably is interested in him. He starts to believe she might be the answer to the depression that has dogged him since the incident. Maybe they can save each other?

This novel imparts important wisdom on how to deal with life’s many regrets and how to make sure they don’t oppress our present and future. It’s a great book for teens and adults alike.

Phenomenal

I love to listen to Audiobooks while in the car, and this “book” was hard to turn off when I arrived at my destination. I’m glad the it’s not about everything good and it addresses some of the harder themes appropriately.
