About this listen

Gripping and inspiring, these true stories of bravery, terror, and hope chronicle nine different children's experiences during the Holocaust. These are the true-life accounts of nine Jewish boys and girls whose lives spiraled into danger and fear as the Holocaust overtook Europe.

In a time of great horror, these children each found a way to make it through the nightmare of war. Some made daring escapes into the unknown, others disguised their true identities, and many witnessed unimaginable horrors. But what they all shared was the unshakable belief in - and hope for - survival. Their legacy of courage in the face of hatred will move you, captivate you, and ultimately, inspire you.

Captivating reader; well written short stories.

Reader does a nice job of sharing short stories of several children that survived the holocaust.

Stories everyone should hear

The worst thing we can do is to forget those who suffered so much. These are hard to hear stories but are very important stories that need to be heard. If we forget what was allowed to happen, it will happen again. By hearing these stories of survivors, it help to put “a face” to the events of the 1930& 1940s. I think all people would benefit from listening to them. They are hard & heart wrenching to listen to. The performance is very well done. My kids will be listening to this book to, so they can understand that time frame better.

I am Good

Thank you for sharing your stories. These stories need to be remembered. While these people lived the horrors of the holocaust, we need to be sure this never happens again. Everyone’s life is worth while. Be kind and compassionate. Be the best you can and don’t let evil in. ❤️❤️❤️

I did not finish

It isn’t the any of the stories themselves that made me stop. I feel like there is a difference between saying that someone was in anguish (as an example only) and writing descriptively to make us feel that anguish.
It is either the writing or the reading or both that made me stop.
