About this listen
Laura loved music more than anything in a little town where the trees swung like dancers in the evening air and fireflies glowed like little candles. She would whistle gentle songs while she watched the stars show one by one in the night sky, sing melodies while gathering water from the well, and tap beats on the wooden tables in her house. But she always felt as if one melody the most beautiful song of them one that had not yet been discovered was absent from all the songs she performed.
Laura heard something unusual one evening when the sky became deep blue and the first moon glimmer shimmered over the hills. A calm, sad song floated through the air, so faint it could have been confused with the wind. She tilted her head and listened closely, but the tune vanished before she could pick out its whole melody. Driven to locate the origin of the music, Laura ascended the highest hill close to the settlement, where the sky opened out indefinitely.
