About this listen

Brief encounter - or forever love?

Then...

Being chosen to design luxury hotels in Charleston is a career coup for privileged Crystal Eaton. Meeting charismatic corporate attorney Joseph Cole-Wilson is an unexpected bonus. Until one passion-filled night in Joseph's penthouse changes her life forever.

Now....

Haunted by sensual memories, Joseph can't accept their short-lived liaison as a onetime fling. And when a chance encounter reunites him with the Florida beauty, the Cole heir vows she won't get away a second time. Even after discovering Crystal's secret, Joseph knows nothing can dim his desire. He'll prove it with sweet words of love that could make this a Christmas to remember. If she'll just say yes.

Okay I guess

The story was so-so and very typical as romances go. Independent woman meets sexy AF male. They have an affair, the woman ghosts, the man finds her ,they reunite and they wed. This is a very vanilla story covered in chocolate.
I finished the story just to see how the author would finish it. I was underwhelmed. I suggest reading other stories about the Coles and Eaton’s - they may be more interesting. Will continue looking for books written by Alers tho. I’m all about supporting black romance authors!!!

Michele

I really enjoyed this story the only thing I didn’t like it way to short if left me wanting more of the baby girl and the grandparents on both sides.

Amazing read

The entire series ties in together so well! Plus, it’s enlightening to hear about prominent African American families that are normal, yet elite! Great reads for sure!

Great story, not so good narrator

The story is great. I love Rochelle Alers and love the Eaton's. I am not so impressed with the narrator though. His voice is annoying and he is horrible with imitating anyone with an accent. I would purchase this book again because of the author and the story. I can't wait to see what's next with the Eaton clan.
