About this listen

One minute, wolf shifter Katrina Hagan is shoe shopping with her packmate Joy, the next minute, she's being carried off by the Alpha of the Killingworth pack. Now she's a hostage, a pawn in the negotiations between two rival packs - so why can't she act like it? Her kidnapper, Maddox "Mad Dog" Killingworth, has a reputation as a ruthless killer - she should be petrified.

Instead, within days of being taken prisoner, the sassy she-wolf has Maddox's pack eating out of her hand and she's making Maddox's inner wolf howl with need every time she saunters by. Too bad their packs have been mortal enemies for generations, and she's fighting tooth and claw to resist her burning desire for Maddox.

Just when it seems like Maddox might finally be breaking down her barriers, it turns out that Katrina's pack hasn't been playing fair, and a shocking betrayal threatens to wipe out Maddox's entire pack. How can Maddox choose between the love of his life...and the life of his pack?

Excellent

Romance and action with an interesting storyline too boot- I will be reading all of this series because it’s a lot more than a romantic battle between the hero and heroine. It’s spies, mad scientist, babies, experiments etc.

Love These Shifters

These short, sexy, shifter stories are perfect to listen to while doing mindless chores. My Audible membership is well worth the price.

my favorite parts

I loved it! My favorite part is when Virginia Battle comes into the story. Also watching Katrina emotionally connect with the little girl Heather.

entertaining

okay this is the fifth book in the Timber Valley pack well it's not really their pack that this book's about it's about two other packs. This one starts Very different like you're not sure what's going on the alpha kind of takes her And they supposedly hate one another but secretly they really like one another and you know How the story goes there but there's some Pact drama that goes on It's definitely An interesting listen and of course Maxine she can do no wrong with all her voices between her little kid voices and adult voices you don't need a whole cast if you got Maxine she is the whole cast.

Good series

I have really enjoyed the Timber Valley Pack series by Georgette St. Clair. They're great one day listens with the right amount of action, snark, strong females, hot alphas, and and a bit of suspense. I will be looking for more books narrated by Maxine Mitchell. She does a great job with narration!

It's Short and I Still Don't Want to Finish It

First off, this book is not a continuation of the series. Its set in the same world but I am an hour and a half in and there is only one character overlap with a 10 second interaction. I have liked the books in this series up until this point, but this is really a no go for me. The heroine is a good person and the entire town turns on her because of her stepfather's actions and yet no one will tell her why they all hate her now? Really? Plus the Hero seems like an afterthought.
I just can't keep going and the book only has 2 hours left. There is really nothing to make you want to keep reading. Maybe if there were characters from the previous books in this one, I would at least keep listening for that, but since that's not the case I have to stop.
