Publisher's summary

Two hearts bound together, suddenly torn apart.

When Egan disappears, Prince Raiden will stop at nothing to find him. With his closest friends and an unexpected acquaintance, he leaves the Sixth Realm behind to track down the man he loves. What he sees along the way will stay with him forever.

Egan finds himself face-to-face with the man who has haunted his dreams since he was a child; only now, he brings new nightmares. Egan's not the only one suffering at the monster's hand; there are others - others like him. He vows to do whatever he can to stop the monster and protect those around him.

Egan holds on to the hope that the love and connection he has with Raiden will reunite them once again.

fantastic!

This starts immediately follow the events from Bound in Fire. Egan and Raiden’s bond is not working and Raiden cannot hear Egan. The first half of the story we learn what has happened to Egan. Raiden will do anything to get his love back. This was such a heart-warming story about two souls that are one and their love is pure. Each story in this series seems to get better and better. I’m now totally invested in Egan and Raiden! Such an emotional rollercoaster ride. I seriously loved this story sooo much and cannot wait for the next one. Talia Carver does a fantastic job with the narration!

Beautiful story and narration!

HOW DO THESE BOOKS JUST KEEP GETTING BETTER!!!
This book picks up where Bound in Fire left off. And it is EXPLOSIVE!!! So much happens to both Raiden and Egan, and these boys go through it in this one. I was really on the edge of my seat to see what would happen next.
We travel to the Fifth Realm, were we discover that they are hiding a lot behind their borders. The secrets of the Fifth are abhorrent and heart breaking, and our poor dragon experiences this horror first hand. Egan has been taken, and Raiden can’t hear him of feel him. It not only breaks his heart, but also gives him a fierce determination. This book is very much the proof that Raiden and Egan would lay their lives on the line for each other. We also get beautiful moments with Kairn, King Roddick, and Tarrock, and meet some excellent new characters. I love how this world just gets more rich and in depth the more it progresses.
I listened to this on Audible as narrated by Talia Carver, and the narration and voices combined with Debbie McQueen’s writing is just amazing.
This series makes me laugh and cry (both sad and happy tears), and with every page I fall more in love with Egan, Raiden, and this beautiful world 💜

loved it!

This is the third book in the series and it's not a standalone. The storyline frin the last book continues in this one. The last book enede with a cliffhanger and luckily we find out right away what happened. It's hard to review the third book in a series without spoilers but I can say that it's my favorite so far. It was intense and it captured me and I really liked the character development! I can't wait for the next one. Also, I really enjoyed the narration.

Raising the stakes

This may be my favorite of the series so far, as the story takes a somewhat darker and more mature turn as Raiden truly sees what suffering is going on outside his own kingdom and grows toward the great king he promises to be one day, even as he fights to rescue Egan. This was an emotional book for me. I love how much strength and peace Raiden and Egan take in each other and just how much their soul connection deepens. I hate the pain and trials they had to face, alone and together. I’m so glad this one didn’t have the same cliffhanger the last one did, but even so am looking forward to seeing the final book in the series soon. As with the previous books, Talia Carver did an excellent job narrating these increasingly beloved characters.

Love this series!

Talons of Love is Book 3 in the Dragon King series. This is an ongoing series and needs to be enjoyed in order. I've really enjoyed this series as Raiden, crown prince of the sixth realm, and Egan, a dragon shifter, come together so sweetly and fight for their home. I love the connection Raiden and Egan share. It becomes very important when Egan is captured in his dragon form and Raiden must go rescue him. Though Raiden is surprised what he finds when he and Egan are reunited. I love that Tarrock went with Raiden on the rescue. He was extremely essential. And though one battle was won the war isn't over. Though King Rodrick has made the sixth realm a very open and wonderful place to live, not everyone in the other realms lives that way. I definitely recommend this series and can't wait for the next book.
Narrator Talia Caver does another amazing job in bringing these characters to life. Such a joy to listen to.

Wonderful series

Really loving this Debbie McQueen series! This is the third installment and you need to listen to them in order. I will say that this one is slightly darker in tone than the others but with everything going on in the series, you will understand. Excellent series and I can't say enough good things about it! Talia Carver does a great job with this series! Can't wait for book 4!

Interesting turn to the story

I've been enjoying these dragons. Interesting story, definitely had some more intense moments and aspects that touched on major trauma, so mind the trigger warnings. Those aspects were handled with care. Quite the adventure and I'm excited to see what comes next in the series.

Loved it

This series is so good! The immediate conflict is done but there is still far to go. I have enjoyed the first three books. The narrator does a good job too.
