Wrongfully accused of murder and left to die in a hellish Highland dungeon, Ana Bisset has lost all hope of freedom. But the beautiful healer's luck takes an unexpected turn when a hooded stranger appears as her rescuer. After a harrowing escape, Ana settles alone in a quiet village where no one knows her past or her reputation. The last thing she ever expects is to meet her mysterious savior again. Niall MacCurran is no hero but a warrior on a dangerous mission to expose a threat to the realm. After his decision to free Ana, he now realizes that it is he who needs her help - willing or no - to advance his quest. But his growing feelings for the delicate yet resilient beauty soon jeopardize their safety - and not even Ana's healing gifts may be enough to protect their love or their lives.

Is there anything you would change about this book?
This was the first book I've read about a Scottish healer (Ana) and that was very interesting. I would not change a thing. What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
The ending was very satisfactory to me and I hope there is a sequel. What about Kirsten Potter’s performance did you like?
Kristen Potter's performance was very good. Her accent and inflections were excellent. What would have made this romance irresistible?
A bit more interaction between Ana and Niall, other than the romance, would have made the characters more vivid.Any additional comments?
I would recommend this book to all historical romance readers.Scottish Healer

Any additional comments?
A good read but what an abrupt ending. And you really do have to read the next book if you want to know what's going to happen. However, I just may cheat and go to the end of the next book, When the Laird Takes a Lady, which I bought as soon as I finished this one, and if there's really no ending I won't bother to read the book in it's entirity. I don't mind a trilogy, if all the books are available, but I won't wait for months for a book to become available to readers. The third book to this series won't be out until December and I refuse to wait that long to read a third book.Over all, I really enjoyed this book. I really liked Niall and Ana. I really, really, couldn't stand Friar Colban. That was why I only gave it 4 stars. There was just too much about that religious fanatic and religion itself, and Bebinn was almost as bad.
There was some good sexual tension in this book and the sex was great so this book is NOT for Christian readers.
As to the narrator: Kirsten Potter.. 'nuff said..
Nice..

What did you like about this audiobook?
I like the fact that it was written by a male so it had a little more action in it apart from the woman drooling all over the bloke but it was great having a female narrator.Does the author present information in a way that is interesting and insightful, and if so, how does he achieve this?
Yes. I like history too so learning about the life and times of historical societys is very interesting. What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?
Nothing. Very enjoyable to listen too campared to some narrators.Do you have any additional comments?
A good light hearted romantic read that provides a great escape. :-)Great story

I loved Anna's strong independent voice when she spoke back to Neal.
I am not into listening to Irish accents and yet this story I began to get use to it and now I know I can enjoy it.
I would recommend this book and the narrator was excellent!
