About this listen

This new historical romance from May McGoldrick pits one spirited lass against her biggest challenge yet: a Highland lord who has no desire to lose his heart.

Innes Munro has the ability to "read" a person's past simply by touching them, but her gift comes with a heavy price: her freedom. Forced to stay at desolate Castle Girnigoe, Innes never expects to be drawn to the wounded warrior who haunts its dark passages and challenges her at every turn.

Conall Sinclair, the earl of Caithness, carries the scars of battles with the English and the lash marks of their dungeons, but the wounds that fester within give him even greater pain. Isolating himself from his clan and the rest of the world in a tower perched on the wild Scottish coast, Conall is reluctant to let the spirited Innes close to him, however neither can deny the growing passion that ignites with every look, every touch.

But can Conall ever love a woman who can read his darkest secrets and feel the pain he hides...and can love really tame all fears? As dangerous forces close in, Conall and Innes must take the ultimate leap of faith and forge a bond of trust that will save them both...or lose each other forever.

Double the Goodness

This is book two in a wonderful Scottish Trilogy. The intrigue continues and the battle between good and evil is at its best inside this series. I love these books and highly recommend.

My favorite of the trilogy . . .

I really enjoyed the this trilogy, but this was definitely my favorite of them all - with the first book in the series coming in second place. Most notably; the narrator Saskatoon Maarleveld is one of the best! I usually can barely tolerate a women’s voice for the duration of an audio book, but she is right up there with the finest of male narrators. Don’t hesitate to listen to this exciting Scottish tale!

Thoroughly Enjoyed

So Good! Being a full time mom doesn't always give me much time to read. I mostly get to listen In the Car. I have found myseld driving miles in circles to just finish another chapter than another chapter lol If you haven't figured it out yet I clearly adored this book and the 1st

Wonderful!

This second book in the Scottish Relic Trilogy is wonderfully done! Personally I love the suspense and torment of two characters that seem to be at odds. The push and pull of the two main characters kept me enthralled throughout the entire storyline. Both with pasts that are somewhat dark, and both have things that they think they need to hide from each other.
I was totally greedy with this book and finished it in three days, I'll try to make the next one last a little longer ;)

Another great story in the trilogy!

I'm so glad I decided to give this trilogy a chance. The narrator did another great job and the new characters were great. It has everything I love in a story - mystery, romance, adventure and true love. I'm looking forward to starting the last book. Right now!

one of the best series I have every listened !

Where does Taming the Highlander rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I waited until I had listened to all three books before I did a review. I felt like it was one long book that I could not wait to finish. I listened to all three in a span of three days

What other book might you compare Taming the Highlander to and why?

I have read other highlander books but I cannot say that any have been quite like this series. The only other book I enjoyed almost as much as this is by Tracy Brogan (HIghland Surrender) I have also enjoyed Maya Banks and Julie Garwood's HIghland books/series

Which scene was your favorite?

I really cannot name one; there were so many.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, yes and yes again

Any additional comments?

This book captured my attention from the very beginning. It is fanciful; however, draws you in. There is love, pain and triumph at the end. I can't wait until more of Ms. McGoldrick's books are available to listen to on audible. The narrator was outstanding and I know I enjoyed listening because of her. However, the storyline itself was compelling and I believe the books are just as good

Enjoyable listen

Only recently discovered this author but look forward to more offerings. The narrator did an excellent job with the different voices.
