About this listen

His offer: 365 days and nights equals 1,000,000 dollars.

My addendum: I’m not doing that.

His promise: Before the year is up, you’ll beg for it. My days of lying and stealing are over, but then Nicholas Crawford makes me an offer I can’t refuse. Spend a year pretending to be his significant other in exchange for 1,000,000 million dollars. I tried to put that part of my life, and those hard-won skills, behind me. But I need the money. He needs a partner. I told him that I’d never sleep with him. He promised me that I would end up begging for it. Now, I want him more than ever.

Especially when I run my fingers over his chiseled body and he teases me with his tongue.

Especially when he puts his hands on the small of my back and kisses me.

I want him so much I am going to scream. I want him so much...I might even beg.

Amazing book!

The entire series is very good. This book really kept me on my toes and is super spicy/descriptive. A must read/listen!

I like the Mystery of it All

Let us Begin ✏️

Overall Plot Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ - -
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️ - - -
Execution of Spice: ⭐⭐⭐ - -

Tropes/Triggers: weapons IE. guns, slow burn, sexual content: including, but not limited to: Sex club, prostitution

Format I read: Audiobook 🎧
Audio version: single Narration
Narrators and performance:
Brittany A.: ⭐⭐⭐ - -
There were sections where Britney absolutely knocked the narration out of the park. But there were also just as many sections where I wanted it to just move on because she didn't have a lot of inflection going on. But I would still listen to more books narrated by her, I still enjoyed it.

1st person POV
The POV is all from Olive's point of view.

Pros of the Story 👍
- I enjoy how the Author has been able to keep a veil of mystery around her characters.

Cons of the Story 👎
- I feel like the scenes in this book aren't fleshed out enough and it kind of just moves along like the Author was just in a hurry to get it done.
- Olive is starting to feel less relatable and more wooden to me. Maybe that's just me? But I like her less in this book than I did in the first.

In summary 📝

6/10 would recommend to my fellow readers who like series. It's not really gripping me the way I like.

So, once I finish this series, I probably won't ever visit it again. But I digress. So, I will keep you posted :-) in future ratings.

not a stand alone

good story. should have known from the length that it was going to have an abrupt ending with the next book advertising the continued story

Addicting.

This is 50 Shades of something lol. I told myself that I would not listen to the 3rd….but here I go. Strangely intriguing and addicting!

A knock off 50 Shades of Gray

Byrd’s character development and plot has plateaued. There seems to be random tangents about body positivity, spicy scenes are descriptive and anticlimactic. It’s very evident that she’s trying to rewrite a 50 Shades of Gray unsuccessfully.

In between

I absolutely love the story line and I’m really intrigued by it however, I find the narrator very annoying. I know it sounds harsh but her voice reminds of an annoying YouTuber narrator that speaks in the same type of level as she does. I really want to continue listening bc I want to know what happens with the characters but I think I might just end up buying the book on Kindle and reading it when I have a few free moments to spare.
