About this listen

Kane Bishop’s content with living and working on the ranch, but something is missing—a family of his own. After his twin brother married the woman he once loved, Kane has moved on and is now focusing on new things. When his best friend’s little sister reenters his life, the attraction is undeniable, but the timing is all wrong.

He should keep his distance and not tempt fate, but he can’t get her out of his head.

Ivy’s had a secret crush on Kane for as long as she can remember. Although she’s an introverted bookworm who hasn’t dated much, she’s ready to go after him. He might be a six-foot-three, inked, muscular god who’s out of her league, but she wants him to be her first and only.

She’ll risk it all to get his attention, but it won’t be easy, since he’s off-limits.

Giving in to temptation doesn’t come without consequences—it’ll either bring them together or tear them apart.

Tempting the Cowboy is a complete stand-alone and can be listened to without listening to any of the other books or spin-off series, but if you prefer to listen in order, start with Hitching the Cowboy, as the characters and families do interconnect.

One of my favourites

It was great to be back at the Circle B Ranch, with the Bishop family and their friends. This time Kane Bishop and Ivy, Kane’s best friend Hadleigh’s younger sister are front and centre and their story was steamy, romantic and emotional.
After realizing that the love he thought he had for Hadleigh was not meant to be, Kane stepped aside for his brother. Now it’s his turn to get the girl and what an entertaining journey it was.
Lia Langola and Tor Thom did a wonderful job with the narration bringing the characters and the story to life for me. Their performances were expressive with the emotions that Ivy and Kane went though and there voices were pleasant and easy to listen to.
We saw a gentler, more romantic side to Kane and Ivy brought out the best in him and I admit there were times when I swooned.
Tempting The Cowboy is well written and you will be drawn into the story that Kennedy Fox wove.

Cant get enough😊😊

From the previous book, I can say that I am a Kane fan. I freaking adore him. After his hit and miss with Hadleigh he decided to start dating. And this one also didn't work out that great either. So when he started having some feelings for Ivy (Hadleigh's little sister) he just feels this cant be right. She is younger than him and his best friends sister. But the heart wants what the hearts want.
Ivy is one of my all time favorite heroine. She is a bookworm, kind, shy and loves her family. She has had a crush on Kane since forever, but when he started dating someone she thought that was it. Until she noticed that he is looking at her in a different way. Could he be feeling what she is feeling...
I absolutely adored this couple, and man do I love these two narrators as well. They were totally spot on for them. Everything about this story makes me love romance. Small town, filled with love, family and amazing friends.

Gaaaaah I adore Kane!

After getting Knox’s story, I have been dying to get my hands on Kane’s and I was not disappointed. Ivy is a spitfire under that reserved persona and Langola brought her to life in so many ways! Oh does she give Kane a run for his money. I loved their banter and their connection when they just talked to each other. I adored how Langola and Thom work so well together while narrating. They just fit together. Ivy and her crush then Kane worried what others would think of the age gap made things more intense between these two and made for a very sizzling moment. There is a little drama which makes for some awkward moments and adds to the depth of the story but I can honestly say I devoured it in one sitting. I even ignored my coffee for this one and that says a lot! I love love love this series and I cannot wait to get Kaitlyn’s story but I am not ready for this series to end!

I’m so happy for Kane

After watching Kane lose out on the girl to his twin brother Knox (in the previous book Claiming the Cowboy) I wasn’t sure if he would be ready to open his heart again, enter Ivy.
Ivy has known and liked Kane for years but he’s only ever seen her as a little girl. But now that she’s a grown woman she’s ready to show him everything he’s been missing out on. I love these two for each other and I am so happy that Kane finally found his own happily ever after.

Age Gap, Sibling's Best Friend... sign me up.

This is the second last book in the Circle B series. You can read it on it's own, but since there is a lot of family you'll have a deeper experience with this book if you read in sequence. If you only want to read one book ahead of this one, read book 7 (Claiming the Cowboy).

Ivy has wanted Kane since she was 12. He's always been the one she watched and wanted from afar. Her sister's best friend, 10 years older than her... wanting him is a bad idea, especially when he has a girlfriend. But what if he wants her too? and there wasn't anyone else?

Kane has seen most of his extended family find love, including his twin brother with his best friend, and he's wondering when it will be his turn. He wants someone to care for, someone who wants only him. When he's with Ivy he wants to encourage her exploration, discovery and personal growth.

The audiobook was performed by Lia Langola and Tor Thom. Lia is delightful as Ivy. The best combinations of book smart and world innocent Ivy is full of contradictions. She's adventurous but still shy, confident in what she wants but uncertain if or how to go after them. Tor's Kane is rumbly and growly and super swoony/romantic.

I requested and received a copy of the audiobook and these are my honest thoughts.

Fabulous Story & Narration🎧 Sweet & Spicy🔥Hot!

“Circle B Ranch” is one of my favorite places to visit, Kennedy Fox created something special with series and the world they built, the characters are absolutely amazing, they are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, most of all they are easy to care about and are the type of people any of us would be lucky enough to have in our lives. Each book in this series stands on its own, but I highly recommend them all since some characters reappear in each other’s books and seeing them again is like seeing an old friend. After what the Bishop twins went thru in “Claiming The Cowboy” I was happy that Kane was getting his own story and finding his own special someone and it turned out he did not have to go very far to find her. This story takes place a couple of years after the last book ended, Kane is in a relationship with Raelyn, though they do not see each other very often though since they live hours apart and have busy schedules. Hadleigh and Knox are happily married and have started a family of their own. Her younger sister, Ivy, is finishing college and is working with Harper, whose goat soap business has boomed. Ivy is more of an introvert and a book nerd, she has had a secret crush on Kane, her sister’s best friend for as long as she remembers, but he only ever saw her as his friend’s kid sister. When she finally gets brave enough to talk to Kane, she learns he is in a relationship, so much for going after her crush. But she gets to see him more now that they share a nephew and they become friends and it does not take long for Kane to realize she is not just his friend’s kid sister. The chemistry between these two is undeniable and heating by the minute and once they give in to it, it will be explosive. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a beautifully written and plotted story with the perfect balance of drama, humor and charm, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn romance that is flaming hot once it is light. Kennedy Fox, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Lia Langola and Tor Thom are the perfect cast to bring these characters and their story to life. They continue to portray these characters with a complete understanding of who they are and play the role with perfection. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture all the character’s emotions and project them into their performance. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing and enjoyable listen.

WAY better than the last one . . .

THIS is the kinda romance I like; not like the last one AT ALL. Kane is sweet and caring, never makes fun of her or treats her like s****, even with her speech issue. Ivy actually reminds me of me a little bit, with her shyness and her bookworm personality. * SLIGHT Spoiler Here * The ONLY thing that was kinda off-putting for me (and why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) is that for a virgin, Ivy didn’t seem very hesitant at all about sex or trying new things with a guys. But I don’t know, maybe when you’ve read a lot of sexy romances like she has, maybe you become a little “braver”, if that’s the right word . . .

Steamy Age-Gap!

After reading “Claiming the Cowboy”, I NEEDED Kane's story. “Tempting the Cowboy” is classic Bishop magic with emotion, a little angst and lots of steam that will have you turning up the AC.

I love an age gap romance and this one was everything I love in them. There’s about 10 years between them and them knowing each other for their whole lives was a bonus. There was a foundation there so when they finally got together, it didn’t feel forced. Kane is a true Bishop gentleman and he’s got a kinky side that I am all about. Ivy is a sweet girl and I love that she’s a fellow book nerd. I connected so much with Ivy and she has become one of my favorites from the Bishop world. We get lots of scenes with Knox and Hadleigh and all the other residents of the Bishop Ranch, including my beloved Grandma Rose. The bonus epilogue is the perfect set up for the next book and I’m already counting down the days.

Lia Langola and Tor Thom were perfect as Ivy and Kane. Lia’s Southern accent is perfect and Tor is so good as a dirty talking cowboy.
