About this listen

Smoke Jensen: The Mountain Man, is the most enduring of the Johnstones' series and their most beloved character, known to set the standard for Western adventure. In this brand new installment, Smoke Jensen's epic battle for justice in the heart of the American Frontier takes him deep into the heart of Texas, where justice comes from the barrel of a gun....

Welcome to Texas. Now go home.

Smoke Jensen has met some down-and-dirty, murdering prairie scum over the years. But this time it's personal and it's bloody - and going to get bloodier. First, they stole 50 of the hundred horses Smoke delivered to his old friend Big Jim Conyers in Tarrant County, Texas. Then they stole 2,000 cattle from Big Jim...and killed him just for the fun of it. Now they're going to pay....

The leader of this unholy band of devils is Delbert Catron - but everyone calls him The Professor. Whatever he's called, he leads the most ruthless gang of vicious kill-crazy desperadoes this side of the border. Hell-bent on avenging his friend's murder, nothing will stop Smoke Jensen from hunting down these killers.

And celebrating justice...

Smoke

Another great book about Smoke. This book reminds me of A lone star Christmas . It has live oak ranch and all of there ranch hands in it. There driving horses to Big Jim at live oak ranch and some gets stolen. And there's cattle stolen also and a killing and Smoke dosent stop tell he finds out who did it . I don't want to spoil it so that's as far as I'll go. It's a great book. Jack Garret did a good job narraiting this book. If my review was any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Good story

We really like western by William w. Johnstone. The books about Smoke Henson and Sally rank up there. We enjoyed the books about preacher probably the best. And the books read by J Rodney Turner are the best because he sounds like an old mountain man.

Predictable

The story was predictable and not much action for a Smoke Jensen story. This book was slightly better than the last two Smoke Jenson Books but that’s not saying a lot. It almost seems like a different author has written the last couple of Smoke Jensen books. The performance was pretty good but the story not so much.

Bad story

A very poor storyline and predictable at the end. Very slow to come together. May would have been improved with a better reader.
