Story
Dr. Hawkins begins this lecture by stating that our true purpose is to transcend from our original animal nature, otherwise known as the ego, to the realization of Divinity. He then guides us throughout this talk on how to allow the unfolding of this Truth. He explains our predicament: We have no idea where we came from, why we are here, who we are or where we are going. We are faced with the continuous uncertainty of life, everything we cling to is attacked and undermined by doubt within ourselves. However, the Presence of God as Self is the source of one's own existence.

Story
In this exciting lecture, Dr. Hawkins disassembles the ego, explains how it blocks the Truth and in great detail shows us how we can transcend it. “You can only experience that which you resist” is one of the many important lessons he shares with us. He also covers the basic qualities that are important for one to have because they can start the spiritual energy flowing. And the conditions in order to reach an enlightened state are explored. We don't have to become monks or join an ashram. We can be spiritual and alive right where we are!

Story
One of the many important points that Dr. Hawkins stresses in this lecture is that in order to follow his Pathway of Devotional Non-Duality, your devotion to Truth has to be greater than the devotion to the payoff of being right. When this prevails, one is well on the way to Enlightenment. What keeps the ego in place? It is the pleasure it gets from its positionalities. The willingness to surrender the gratification and pleasure of the payoff of the ego's positions is the sacrifice. Dr. Hawkins also informs us that spiritual work is a lot easier that we think!

Story
In this insightful lecture, Dr. Hawkins explains that we actually live in a sense of our own subjectivity which is coming from consciousness/awareness. He then guides us on how to become more aware of this Truth and the levels of Love, and how to be able to shift your awareness to a new paradigm from where you are to where your heart would like to be. There is a way of being in this world that is no longer dualistic. There is also a discussion on the important topics of intention, choice, prayer, surrender and perfecting the virtues as a spiritual foundation.

Everything is exactly precisely where it has brought itself through its own decision. He states: "There is nobody paddling the canoe except yourself!" However, with the progression of consciousness, the "I" is less and less limited and ultimately becomes the source of Knowingness itself.

Story
In this thorough explanation of the human ego, Dr. Hawkins points out that the difficulty with the mind is that it doesn't know the difference between that which is mental from that which "is". He explains that we can transcend the ego and reach the higher states of consciousness not by battling it, spending 30 years in psychotherapy or meditating forever, but by understanding its origin, its nature and its function. The ego then begins to dissolve on its own through compassion and acceptance because when you shine light on darkness, the darkness begins to disappear.

Story
In this awe-inspiring lecture, Dr. Hawkins reveals that peace can't really be accomplished in the world, that it is an inner state. Peace and freedom are what you are and when you let go of trying to control things and give God advice, it puts you into a space where it's irrelevant. Dr. Hawkins explains that the intellect is really our problem, as it is very fast and takes credit for what happens and presumes to be the causal effect. If we can get beyond thinking in terms of a "this" causing a "that", then you don't need to make up a false explanation of why things happen.

A 600-level energy problem requires a 600-level energy answer.”With chalk in hand, a young Dr. Hawkins explains that a person is addicted to the re-experiencing of a certain high-energy field. He walks us through the steps of AA and his own personal experience with alcohol.

Story
Dr. Hawkins explains that everything is spontaneously being what it is and that nothing is causing anything. He talks about the pathway of negation and the Void, and goes into detail about karmic inheritance and how it affects our lives. Of great benefit is the information he supplies about relationships and the levels upon which they may exist, including the qualities of horizontal and vertical relationships (i.e., alignment vs. involvement). He goes into detail about the ego, how it loves suffering, loss, hatred, and even grieving, and the “juice” it gets out of that.

Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

The book of Enoch was thought to be lost for over 2,000 years until, in 1773, a traveller brought three copies back from Ethiopia. Whether or not this ancient book was actually authored by Enoch, the father of Methuselah and great-grandfather of Noah, is an ongoing debate among historians and theologians. But all recognise the book of Enoch as one of the most important apocalyptic works outside of the Bible.

It is the supreme authority in Islam and the living source of all Islamic teaching; it is a sacred text and a book of guidance that sets out the creed, rituals, ethics, and laws of the Islamic religion. It has been one of the most influential books in the history of literature. Recognized as the greatest literary masterpiece in Arabic, it has nevertheless remained difficult to understand in its English translations.

I Love Everything about Dr Hawkins
I'm grateful for this 2 minute recitation of Psalm 91. I would not likely have heard it if I hadn't found Dr Hawkins. The preciousness of this Psalm, the meaning it held for Dr Hawkins and his reading of it settle me in times of need. May God bless all who read this and may you feel under the wing of protection most high.
