False Witness engages listeners who enjoy suspense novels with a message. This work, Singer's sixth, has more subtle spiritual themes than previous works. With a riveting plot, this is an excellent legal thriller for both male and female listeners. Capitalizing on our ever-growing concern with issues like identity theft, hackers, encrypted digital and electronic information, and personal security, False Witness could easily come from stories behind today's media headlines.

The Jury Did its Job...and Everyone Else's Job, too. What happens when a new jury is made up of jaded members? Some of them have sat on juries where the bailiff or a policeman stuck his head in the door and gave them information that was barred in court. Or maybe the government uses a fake tape recording to convict someone, and the jury decides to get hold of the original tape and see what's changed. Or maybe a judge has agreed to help the government because he's under audit by the IRS and facing criminal tax charges. All of these things can and do happen. Pity the poor defense attorney ...

Incredibly boring
This was a did not finish for me. First, the narration was irritating. I could hear him take a drink of water! His tone didn't match the seriousness of the subject matter. It was so distracting! Then, the book just had no traction. It should have had some tension. But it read like the outline for a book, not an actual novel. It needs a serious edit. Save your credits.
