Agatha is awesome, but performance is weak

I've listened to 2 stories and the speaker isn't the greatest, all women sound the same, except sometimes they sound like a gay man. Last story had a man from UnitedStates, not sure what accent he was trying for, but it wasn't like any accent I've ever heard, it was horrible. don't think I will listen to any more

A must for Christie fans

If you love some of Agatha Christie’s greats and want a compilation, this is the book for you. The stories move with great pacing, in part due to clear and effective narration. I went back and forth on loving the narrator, but he was amusing enough that I didn’t doze to his voice (which is always a win). British narration makes it more fun (said an American). And who doesn’t love some Poirot classics?!

A great deal but the narrator drove me nuts

The narrator was fine in general, but the way that he says M Poirot by pronouncing the letter instead of saying Monsieur Poirot (he understands Mr and Mrs just fine) and cannot pronounce French words finally drove me nuts. I had to return it and just spend the credit on the book I wanted read by another narrator. (Hugh Fraser and David Suchet both read the Poirot novels well.)

Em Poirot

Would have been all 5s if it weren't for the editors passing the pronounceiation of monsour porro as em porro. it was very annoying and I wouldn't have bought it if I had known!

Loved it!

I really enjoyed this audible on the Agatha Christie stories! It’s funny, I totally think the opposite of some of the reviews about Jonathan Waters being a horrible narrator because I thought often during listening that I might not have really liked reading this book, but I really enjoyed it thanks to his voice.

Great buy with several Christie stories

I purchased this for the Murder of Roger Ackroyd. I didn’t realize it contained several additional Agatha Christie stories! I commute in the Bay Area so this is a perfect, long audiobook with hours of classic mysteries. I didn’t mind the narrator’s voice at all, but I do set it to 1.25x speed since I don’t like slow reading. Didn’t bother me at all while I was in traffic!

I loved the book

I like suspenseful books and mysterious stories and I am so glad I found this book to read and best part is, I don’t really have to read. I just listened and the change of voices and the tune and the accent everything was awesome .I highly recommend listening this book and the audio is pretty clear to understand and you will like someone is telling a story and we all love stories.

Why did they choose this actor to read?

Jonathan Waters is absolutely horrible for the Poirot stories: he pronounces M. Poirot M’Pero instead of Monsieur Poirot or Mister Poirot if -as is the case here- you can’t get a single French word right - (so about every 2 minutes, which is really annoying.)
