This book not only tells the tales of King Arthur but also explains the historical events and the mindset of the people during the period of their creation.

This does not speak of Disney stories, but any who have read 19th century poetry would likely recognize a few names mentioned. Fortunately, many works referenced here, are much easier for the layperson to access now than they were when this was originally written.
If you are brand new to the stories of King Arthur, this might not be the very first book you want; but if you find yourself intrigued thereafter, this is one you would likely find interesting soon after.
A note on the narrator: Good pronunciation so far as i can tell (I am not a Welsh speaker though). Nice production values, no annoying tics, and consistent volume. Easy to listen to, i am well pleased.
Well read. Loved the annotations included.

Go to Gutenberg project and check out the original text. If you like what you see, then consider buying this book. (I wish I had done that.) The narration is fair but not engaging, certainly not good enough to carry the lackluster stories.
