A fun listen

What a great story. It has some intrigue without being so complicated and drawn out that you have to be fully focused. It's great for multitasking people that love a good story or someone that wants to relax not just physically but also mentally and sil be entertained.

Another entertaining story from Julie Berry

The narrator/reader was not a good choice. If you've listened to Julie's other books, this lady is like nails on a chalk board, but I stuck with it anyway because I like the writer

Love the book

My daughter who is 9 and I listened to this at night. Well she tried to get me to listen to it more than just at night. But it is an awesome book. "Intense" is how my little girl describes it. I wish the author read it tho!

Fluff

Disneyfied wish fulfillment. Formulaic, as fairy tales usually are, but lacks spark to make it entertaining.

Instead read 'Fly by Night' by Frances Hardinge, where young woman takes charge of her fate, with a goose and sly humor.

OK story. Lousy narrator.

I almost returned because of narrator. Grating narration!I managed to finish. Ending felt incomplete. Meh! I have enjoyed all the writers' current books. I was very disappointed in this one. If I read, I might feel different. The narration destroyed this book!

Wow what a book!

I loved every time Lucinda made a remark or sarcastic comment it was so funny I couldn’t stop laughing. I love the story. Sometimes I could Kinda guess what was coming and sometimes I couldn’t. I love the plot twist at the end LOL though I could have or wanted A bit more but overall I really enjoyed it. Finish the book so quickly. I love Julie Barry’s books!
