Publisher's summary

When two valuable oil paintings are missing, Kendall is asked to investigate on behalf of the insurance company. Reluctantly, he accepts the job. Then, a body is discovered, and then another.

“So what do you think?” asked Mollie.

“What do I think?” Kendall repeated. “Well with two people dead, I think someone has been practicing the art of murder.”

Interesting

Good concept for a story. Greed often leads to murder.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Greed

So many greedy people and some willing to kill. It's astounding that large quantities of money aren't enough to make one satisfied, and they need more like an addiction. Smh. It never ceases to amaze me that people put so little worth on a life and think nothing if taking it. I found the villain unlikable early in the story but his greed make him even worse. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.

Great Read

The Art Of Murder (Kendall Book 8) was a great read by John Holt. Kendall is asked by an insurance company to investigate two valuable oil paintings that are missing. He reluctantly takes on the job. Unfortunately two bodies are found after that. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Old fashion detective story.

John writes old Fashion detective stories. If you like old-fashioned detective stories this book could be for you.

I enjoyed the storyline and the characters.

There is no corse Language in it, or sex scenes. Although there is some violence it does not go into great details. And because of this I feel that this story could be read by young adults as well.

I have read a few of John’s books and enjoyed all of them.

Narrator Kolyn Marshall again does a good job bringing the characters alive with their own individual voices.

This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher free of charge for a honest, unbiased review.
