Publisher's summary

Jessica was getting tired of fighting fate. Not only had some really weird stuff been going on the past few months, but now she found herself crawling out of Jacob's bed. She hated the guy. Well, okay, she'd avoided the guy. Sure, she'd fantasized about him most of her life, but that didn't mean she couldn't fight the attraction. Something was coming and everyone in town felt it, not just the chosen group she'd found herself part of in the last few months. And, if her being with Jacob was fated, she was determined to fight it for as long as she could, because she knew what was coming, even when no one else did. She knew how important everyone's roles were in the next few weeks, but with the disappearance of Breanna, fate may have just taken a huge turn. For the worse.

Jacob has completely lost it. That's the only explanation for what he'd been going through. And now, suddenly he's found himself inexplicably drawn to Jess. But these new desires he felt for her were stronger than the need to breathe. What new powers did this witch hold over him? But more importantly, was there a chance they would survive the upcoming horrors?

Good read and barely okay narration..

So, the end of the world didn’t happen and the 6 heroes working together made that happen and it did have a satisfactory ending, no one was really sad about the loss of one of the characters. And the powers that everyone had were truly awesome, except for Mike, he didn’t do much of anything, or it was so little or so inconsequential that I can’t remember it. But with Jess being a powerful witch, Xtina reading everything about a person just by touching and Ethan being an amazing healer no one else was worth talking about, with the exception of Jess’s mother, she seemed evil throughout the story then ended up helping to save the world.

I thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy but that still doesn’t mean I like cliffhangers, as this was.

There was explicit sex in this but no swearing to speak of. Personally, I’d rather have the swearing instead of the graphic sex when reading a cliffhanging mystery.

As to the narration: This was supposed to be a thrilling conclusion but I gotta tell ya’ Roy Samuelson did a really poor job of narrating this book. No matter how intense or exciting or loud or stressful anyone and everyone was he read in a bland and monotone voice. It was soooo disappointing.

Enjoyed this trilogy!

Loved the book and did not mind the cliffhangers. Narrator could have been better in showing characters emotions. This audio book needed better editing, though. Overall, excellent read!
