About this listen

It's called the change of life but this is ridiculous . . .

Samantha Sinclair's midlife can be summed up in one word—trapped. Trapped by Multiple Sclerosis. Trapped by an abusive husband. Trapped until her son breaks the vicious cycle and whisks her away to a bed and breakfast on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

He sent her away. Now she's returned to the scene of the crime.

The only problem? It puts her in the path of the only man she ever wanted. Damien rejected her years ago and Sam's never recovered from the heartache. Combined with the quirky and nosy oddballs in the fifty and up waterfront community, the B&B isn't the ideal place to lay low. Sam just wants to lick her wounds, not rekindle an old flame who is still too hot to handle.

Witches and shifters and secrets, oh my!

When Sam looks out the window late one night and sees people dancing naked and huge felines cavorting on the beach, she realizes she's not the only one with something to hide. But can this ragtag band of aging supernaturals keep her safe? Or will her vengeful ex destroy what's left of Sam's life?

MS has been a part of my life since I was fourteen. Incorporated with a shifter novel is a win win. Looking forward to the next book.

Awesome story line

One of the best Women's Paranormal Midlife Fiction Series. I love how the main character, Sam is a woman that has MS and goes through a lot proving everyone that she is strong and wants truth from everyone. All the characters are wonderful and I want more in this series.

Narrated Perfectly, Story Very Very Good

It's nice to see a story with a disabled main character. The insight into overcoming the usual struggles, heart ache, aging, but with the added struggle of everyday issues most take for granted. I'm looking forward to more books in this series.

A good PWF adventure.

Really enjoyed this book and already pre purchased the next book. I really hope they put all the books in this series on audible. Picked this book first because it had my favorite narrator Hollie

really 😉 enjoyed

This first book in the "Cougars and Cauldrons Series" was both thought-provoking and entertaining. The author has incorporated several heavy themes in this story: a character who suffered with Multiple Sclerosis, spousal abuse, secrets, and the ending of a first love. There was also magic and shifters. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Hollie Jackson's narration was good, and her performance enhanced the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Magical Paranormal Romance

I enjoyed the book all the way through, characters were good, and I liked the details all the way through as well!

Awesome

As a woman living with MS I was super excited to listen to this book however the narrator completely ruined it for me. The first chapter starts out with some heavy content, but the narrator's inflections and tone makes it seem like it's bright and airy. This continues throughout the book, she never changes her tone to accurately match the tone of the various changes in the book. I eventually had to stop listening and will try to read the book instead. I wish I could get my money back.

Wrong narrator for book
