Good Horror stories

interesting collection of Horror short stories. Good narration. I would recommend this anthology to others.

Some great material, but uneven overall

This collection had some great material but was unfortunately too uneven from story to story, more so than usual for this series. Between that and the mediocre narration, I can't give this one as strong of a recommendation as I'd hoped.

With this title how could you resist!

This is a nice mix of stories. Something for everyone really. The last story is kind of heartbreaking but doesn’t clearly define the situation. The other stories are well written and concise. Definitely worth the read!

Not a waste of time . Not scary though or chilling

I’ve listened to a bunch of these now and it might just be me. Maybe I’m getting desensitized which is possible but doesn’t seem like a lot of creativity is going into this like they used in the beginning. Maybe it’s just the new generations of Walters not a waste of time it passed the time for me, but they’re really, funny stories that stood out for me and told me this was good just if you need something in the background and don’t have a book dedicated to

Love all of the books

Ellen Datlow chooses a great variety in the stories and there are always wonderful narrative performances by the voice actors. I’ve never been disappointed.

50/50 down the line.

Half the stories were good / half were bad. When I mean bad I mean just blah. Typical. No imagination, the mashing of the same stories. The other half were very imaginative and entertaining. Of those, only half would be considered “horror.” Non the less, still entertaining.
The voiceovers. The voiceover artists were 2. One man one woman. I’ve heard both of them before from other stories of horror and fiction. So I had my reservations about getting this lot of horror to begin with, but needed my horror fix and I knew my trepidation would be worked through once again. I would speed through or totally skip the stories read by the woman or female or whatever doesn’t offend. It just sounds off when she (female voice actor) does men’s voices or women’s. Yet the male voice over artist, was hired to do a story with 5 different female voices and they sounded so much more on than the female voice artist or actor or whatever doesn’t offend. Each of the women’s voices were different and even the tonality was different. Good job. She, the female voice actor is fine with background or exposition but her overall voices, not entertaining. It sounds unrealistic and unrehearsed.
So, if you want 50/50, then this compilation is for you.

Great Road Trip Material

I found this to be the best volume I’ve listened too so far. Heartbreaking, dreadful, disturbing, but good stories, and a wide variety of themes.

Blue chip horror

Datlow does it again. Best editor of modern horror working today. If you see her name on it, it's awesome. I own every audiobook shes edited on iOS and just switched to Android. Psyched to see this here 👍

Great Collection

Hours of great horror. Some exceptionally vivid romps and well worth a credit. The narration fits the stories and I found myself haunted for days after a couple of the more disturbing ones.
