A classic magazine thrives

The great tradition of great pulp fiction, horror, and sword & sorcery tales continues in this legendary magazine, and here’s your proof. Excellent from cover to cover.

Good edition, not great

Not as good as the unthemed episode with the hagraven on the cover. But still good. More than a few times it sounded like true lovecraft/reh. Some people have dissed the essays, but I really enjoyed them too.

Conan fanfic - beastly tales, essays, and poems

Fine for a free listen, perhaps worth it on sale, but only a few short stories and poems worked for me.

1. The Eyre - by Jonathan Mayberry - 8 min - essay on the genre
2. Cold ice, Red Blood by Kevin J Anderson - 1 hr - unleash the Cthulhu! ⭐️
3. Michael Moorcock interview by Weston Ochse - 18 min - recapping an interview
4. On Michael Moorcock by Neil Gaiman - 5 min- Gaiman gushes about Mr. Moorcock
5. Guardian of the Sapphire Sword by Greg Cox - 33 min - there’s always a magic sword, isn’t there?
6. Maid of Steel by Dana Fredsi & David Fitzgerald - 1 hr - something wicked this way comes ⭐️
7. Temm the Riven by Brian Matthews - 48 min - bloodthirsty pillaging
8. Three Winters by James A Moore - 43 min - more pillaging … in the name of regaining power
9. Misbegotten by Margaret Reed - 48 min - and more pillaging … and demons
10. The Warrior’s Way by Howard Andrew Jones - 49 min - baptism in blood ⭐️
11. Hunting the Winter Witch by Greg Mollin- 11 min - into the mists
12. A Word before the Ice Wars by Bruce Boston - 2 min - chilly calm before the storm ⭐️
13. Bard by Teel James Glenn - 30 seconds - poem ⭐️
14. Gates of Katharion by Matthew I. Gold - 2 min - set the scene

Pretty good for a work day

It’s a great listen for a work day. But it costs alittle too much. Like way too much
