To catch a serial killer stalking paradise they'll risk everything …
Few leads. No witnesses. Detective Logan Ryder is running out of time to stop a serial killer from claiming a fourth woman on Hawaii’s Big Island. Grief counselor Elena Kekona puts her life on the line to help when she discovers she resembles the victims. But Logan’s reserve—and Elena’s secrets—could turn their instant attraction into a devastating endgame that both might not survive …

But as I was born and raised in Hilo, I had such a hard time with the lack of knowledge of the city (like in the beginning they said she lived on Komohana st “off the grid “. Komohana is kind of a well used street and not off the grid. And he seemed to just throw out street names to make it sound like he knows what he’s talking about.
As I am impressed with the pronunciation of most of the words, it sounded like something out of a school lesson. No real inflection on the words that would make anyone sound local. Really should try and get a narrator from the area and can make it more realistic.
Another thing that bugged me was how he had to describe everyone’s hair (multi-layered, the color, in detail) and really… curtain bangs? How does any of this relate to the story?? Looks like a page filler to me. Yes, these are personal to me… others won’t be bothered by these things as I am.
Lack of knowledge
