About this listen

Sam Jameson always gets what he wants, and what he wants is his ex-wife.

Sam views the world in black and white - a strong attitude that’s earned him billions in the business world and an ex-wife in the real world. What Sam wants is to choose his own future, but to do this, he must pass a test set out by his older brother and CEO: onboard his wayward brother, Eddie. Sam accepts the challenge but isn’t sure what to think when he learns that the woman he’d love and left is part of the test, too.

Trinity Jameson is a fixer. It doesn’t matter if it’s ugly furniture or an ornery employee, Trinity has the touch, and she’s spent most of her life helping others achieve their best potential. But when her ex-husband comes back to town to prove he’s got a heart, Trinity makes a decision: She’s not going to fix his problems for him - no matter what his smoldering blue eyes ask of her, she’s going to say, "No." She’s determined that he’ll fix his own mess this time.

Before Sam landed in New York, his goal was to leave the city just as fast. But when Trinity saunters into the room looking better than ever, his desire begins to shift. He realizes that what he really wants is what he can no longer have: Trinity. Sam has no trouble stoking their physical fire, but hot sex isn’t going to be enough to heal the hurt he’d caused long ago. Sam isn’t going to be dissuaded by her newfound emotional wall. He helped her build it, and now he’s going to knock it down.

Wow!!!

I so enjoy books by Leslie North and this one is no exception. The story was a great second chance at love between 2 people who never got over their breakup with each other. The narration was wonderful in the duet format. Both Marcio Catalano and Marnye Young added so many emotions that one would not get just reading the book. I loved their banter and chemistry. It made the relationship of Trinity and Sam seem much more real. I also loved the brother's interactions with each other and Trinity. This book is a standalone listen and the new beginning to a series. I look forward to hearing the next story. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review.

A great, literal, second-chance romance

This was my first experience with Leslie North’s writing, but it won’t be my last. I enjoyed this audiobook and the story a lot. I liked the characters, especially Trinity and Eddie. And I really enjoyed the overall development of Sam’s character. I hope we’ll get to find out more about a William at some point too.
The narrators did a pretty good job. Marcio definitely pulled off an emotionless, expressionless character. I don’t know if that was completely intentional or not. But I think there could have been a little more emotion, even if it was sounding more frustrated or angry or content- especially towards the end of the book. Marnye did a pretty good job, thankfully with a little more emotion.
Good overall. I’ll definitely read the next books in the Jameson Brothers series, if not listen too.

Great story and great duet narration!

This is the first book in the Jameson Brothers Series. I like brothers stories. This second chance love story is well written, as always with Leslie North. The two main characters, Trinity and Sam are perfect together and their chemistry is so evident. I can't wait to read the story of William and Eddie, Sam's brothers. This was my first listen to a duet story written by Leslie North. I like duets and this one is really well done and easy to listen. Leslie North Does it again with this Series

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I really liked this first book of a new series. The characters were so different from others by Leslie North. This story shows her versatility in writing a romance. I saw so many people I know in the character of Sam. The depth of the story kept my attention and I couldn't stop listening. The dual narrators were awesome. Love this format. Felt like I was watching them on the big screen. Looking forward to the next book.

Wow what a start of a series

Wow. This is a great start of a series. Leslie knows how to draw the listener in Like a spider to a web her stories will grab you and draw you in . This one is about a love that should never have ended if it wasn’t for some pride and hotheaded .
Hero is Sam. Heroine is Trinity

Sam is full of pride and hard headed . Tom sees the world in black and white. He hates surprises. .
Trinity likes to look at things and try to fix anything she can get her hands on .
Trinity and Sam will run into each other , will this second meeting find them back together? Or will the hard headness keep them apart.

Both Narrators are great . Their voices are smooth and clear. They brought the story to live

Love with a satisfying HEA

Leslie North is one of those authors that can really capture the ordinariness of being human (without it being boring.) Her stories spring to life from simply being relatable with relatable characters. This listen scored on both counts.

I was rooting for Sam (the billionaire) and Trinity (the ex-wife.) The story involved obstacles, naturally, but not that over-blown-soap-opera-angsty stuff. Thank you Miss North!!

I really liked the duo narration. These two had to be in the studio at the same time. They were seamless and flawless. Catalano and Young were Sam and Trinity.

I loved everything about this listen. Including the well-deserved HEA.
