About this listen

When I convinced my friends to join me in a scheme to play the stock market, it paid off beyond our expectations. Honestly, most days I don’t even remember that I’m a billionaire. But it was big news for my family. In fact, my cousin made me guardian of her son in the event something happened to her.

At face value, it sounds kind of nice.

But I never really knew my cousin.

And I only found out about her decision a week before the kid showed up on my doorstep.

Thankfully, the woman who brought the boy out to me on the plane is willing to stay and be his nanny.

Since all the local daycares have a waiting list, I don’t have the luxury of being picky. Maybe I have reservations about sharing my home with a beautiful woman, but it’s a completely professional relationship.

She’s going to look after the kid.

I’m going to look after my heart.

Whitney is annoying

Sorry but Whitney is annoying!!!!! She just knows how to complain or give excuses for her annoyance. And I felt like be with him was like a consolation prize for her since she didn’t got her 1st choice work.
And she is always a know it all with everything! Just no! The guy is swoon but Whitney… NO !

This is a Christian romance

I can handle a decently written clean romance, but this Christian romance is a whole other level. I wish I would have been warned that Christianity is essentially a main character in the story before buying this audio. It’s still an ok story, and I have no problem with the characters being Christian, but praying at restaurants, and over every slight problem and decision they have to make, is a bit much for me. One of the main conflicts is whether a nanny can live with a single male, and her charge, without the main characters stumbling on their religious path once they start dating. It includes the perception and judgment of such sins from strangers and family. That kind of social pressure on two fully grown adults who are barely kissing, nearly thirty year old virgins, just seems ridiculous to me. Again, a religious mention here or there, no big deal, but every other page? It’s just too much. I would have liked to finish the series since now I’m invested in all of the friends, but I can’t take any more.
