About this listen

Virtually anyone, anywhere knows that six million Jewish human beings were killed in the Jewish Holocaust. But how many African human beings were killed in the Black Holocaust - from the start of the European slave trade (c. 1500) to the Civil War (1865)? And how many were enslaved?

The Black Holocaust, a travesty that killed millions of African human beings, is the most underreported major event in world history. A major economic event for Europe and Asia, a near fatal event for Africa, the seminal event in the history of every African American - if not every American! - and most of us cannot answer the simplest question about it. Here is a sample of what you will get from the painstakingly researched, painfully honest The Black Holocaust for Beginners:

"The total number of slaves imported is not known. It is estimated that nearly 900,000 came to America in the 16th century, two-and-three-quarter million in the 17th century, seven million in the 18th, and over four million in the 19th - perhaps 15 million in total. Probably every slave imported represented, on average, five corpses in Africa or on the high seas. The American slave trade, therefore, meant the elimination of at least 60 million Africans from their fatherland."

The 3 different African Slave Trades in History

Wow, besides the United States African Slave trade of 400 years, most people don't know of the Indian Ocean Slave trade and the Arabian/Muslim Slave trade that came first for 1000s of years. Such a horrific reality.

Thought provoking knowledge

2/6/2023
No one can ever capture how truly traumatic slavery was because it's effects are everlasting. The African is truely a remarkable being because we are still alive and able to remain hopeful that all will be as it should be one day. The more we learn about our past the more whole we become as a people.

Eye opener

This book and the words spoken gave me a visual image of what the capture, walking in chains for miles, taken on ships from hell and sold into slavery for 500 years. Millions died. We must one day honor them.

Revolutionary

This book is so necessary for all our black babies/children, even our adults. It is breath-taking and painful at times. Yet, we need to know our history in order to know who we are so we can know where we need to be.

Stomach turning & Inspiring, in the same breath!

Brace yourself!
To understand where you're heading, You must know where you've been. Blackman & Blackwoman - Originally, Those Holy scriptures was NOT about the Europeanized version of The Almighty (many call God) .... They were about YOU!
