Critic reviews

"Four women who are each discovering a new path in life. Taking chances, supporting one another, coming to terms with disappointment. Succeeding... Grab your beach chair, umbrella and a cooler full of snacks and enjoy." (Susan Wilson, New York Times bestselling of One Good Dog and What A Dog Knows)

"Pamela Kelley has crafted a wonderful multi-generational story about mothers, daughters, and friendship set in a quaint seaside town on Cape Cod. If you love talk of bookstores, delicious food and coffee shops, this one is for you!" (Rachel Hanna, author of the South Carolina Sunsets series)

wow

I enjoyed this book so much.
lots of characters very well defined and easy to follow through the novel.
life's challenges displayed well and close lady friends shined best.
a warm, island invoked beach story.
easy to read or listen to while sitting on the beach or feel like you are on an island while reading from your bed. loved it ......

I’m so over breathy little girl sounding narrators

The story was good but the narrator was like listening to nails scraping on a chalkboard! The grown women sounded like 10 year olds, the younger women sounded like cartoon characters and the male voices were just plain creepy!
I should have read this book, I would have enjoyed it more!
PLEASE, no more whispery saccharine sweet voices on grown women..it’s actually weird!

This should be made into a tv series … it’s that hood

Fantastic! Loved the characters and the differences in living in Chatham and Charleston and choices young people have to make job wise and they realize college can be a waste of a lot of money. I loved the challenges the moms and daughters had to make too. You’ll love this book and narrator was really good too. And I loved how they all pretty much did NOT WANT TO LIVE IN NEW YORK CITY !

Pleasing Yet Predictable

I love a good beach book, and this had all the right ingredients. I enjoyed the read, but it was a little predictable.

A best seller for Pamela M. Kelley

I’ve read/listened to almost all of Pamela’s books. This is by far one of the best. I loved the characters and variation in locals. I hope she continues the series.

Interesting book

This was a new author for me and while interesting the real catch for me was the food every time I read about what they were eating I had a urge to jump in my car which I know longer on and drive which I don't longer can do to my eyes shut and drive to the cape cod for food So the book of own is interesting for that reason

Meh…but,

I love the narration. The storyline had lots of gaps. The book should’ve been filled with more detail on other aspects. Part of the story. Either way I was ready to sign up for book 2 if there was one, but there isn’t. Not a fab read but not a bad read. 😊

Great story

It is a great story of women learning it's ok and good to be on your own. Also of friendship and mothers bond. All bad thing is repeating. They tend to say almost word for word same sentence in middle of book
