About this listen

A billionaire kidnaps a scientist and is unprepared for the consequences...to his heart.

Thief. Enforcer. Womanizer. Billionaire Antonio Andrade has been called all these things. His road to respectability has been buried in bloodshed. And his foes are waiting for him to have it all, so they can rip everything away.

Framed. Threatened. Abducted. Virologist Charlotte "Charly" Bennett is in a tailspin of trouble. The man who kidnapped her thinks she's guilty of the bioweapon he wants to destroy. Agreeing to be used as bait could be her one chance to reclaim a normal life...if she survives.

With time running out and a hidden enemy on the move, Antonio and Charly rush to stop the mastermind behind these acts of terror. For Antonio, sticking to his plan should've been easy. But then, passion ignites between them, and Antonio must decide between preserving his legacy or protecting Charly. As danger closes in and tragedy strikes close to home, that decision is torn from his control and put straight into enemy hands.

The Boss Assignment is book three of the Rogue Protectors series, but it can be heard as a stand-alone.

Another Winner

Trust this author to flip everything on it's head with this book - if you read/listened to the previous books in this series, you'll know exactly what I mean as the villain turns hero. (P.S. although this book can be read/listened to as a standalone with a "new" couple, I highly recommend following the books in order from book 1 in the series.)

Perfectly written, I love this author's work and this book is another winner with just the right amount of action to get your pulse racing, steam & chemistry between the 2 MC's to have you fanning yourself (& wishing you were in one of the lead roles [yes, yes I do]) and excitement & intrigue to hold your interest from beginning to end.

Although the hero, Antonio, came from nothing, he is now a man who is used to getting what he wants and when he sets his sights on Charly (first for her work & then personally) nothing will stop him. I loved reading about Antonio's past and what makes the man tick. The author managed to write him n such a way that you want to feel sorry for him but at the same time know he can handle whatever comes his way. Charly too may come across as a tough chich but also has her secrets which make her vulnerable and I loved how Antonio helped her deal with it.

I must admit that I wasn't as in love with the narrators in this book as I was with the previous 2 "Rogue Protectors" books. That said, it's not that they did a poor job, but it may be that the standard was set so high with the previous 2 books, I was just expecting a bit more. My main concern was when the 2 narrators were "speaking" for another character ~ e.g. DC Cole would make the character sound older with an pronounced accent and Melissa Barr would make that same character sound younger with little to no accent which threw me off a bit. But again, not a bad job overall. They still managed to portray emotion, etc so that is a plus and get an average 4 stars from me.

This book is obviously written from a dual POV (duh, 2 narrators), it has action, suspense, steam and will keep you guessing to who the real villain is all the way through. That plot twist at the end? Did NOT see that coming!! It ends with a HEA for this couple and leaves you with a taste of what's to come in the next book.

Love it! 5 stars for content/story, 4 stars for narration. Overall 5 stars from me and I will most definitely, 100000% purchase the next audiobook in this series.

Love That Can’t Be Denied

This book has a great storyline. A good book for me combines angst, mystery, laughter and love. This book has it all.

It's a great listen if you don't speak Spanish

I would love to have the opportunity to be a voice actor for a book like this... it's a great book but some of the Spanish hurt.

not as good as the first ones

the first one in this series was good, but the second and now this one just really fall short. I was hoping it was a fluke with the last book but after this one I won't buy anymore in the series. the storyline is interesting but it just doesn't grip you. and just too much sex and thinking about sex and talking about sex. that's all they do it feels like at times. If you like a secondary story, but really want more sexy times in a book this might be for you.

Good story but bad narration

The story was good however the narrators ruined this story! The narrators for the other books in this series were so much better.

Continue to enjoy the series

While I liked this installment of the series, and I really like the narrator's, the story would have been better served to be a duet narration. The distraction of each narrator performing both male & female parts with alpha male characters hold the overall enjoyment back. With that said I'll listen to the rest of this series & think this series is worth the credit even with the dual POV type narration.
