Listening to this collection of tales is a wonderful diversion. So far, my favorite chapters are 24 and 26, the former by Fred McCoy, the latter by Cap'n Larry Jarboe. Mr. McCoy paints a beautiful picture of a more genteel time and a special place inhabited by people such as the old Southern gentleman Colonel Swann of Leonardtown, Maryland. And the people of Maryland and of her sister state Virginia over the years have naturally felt a strong bond to the larger tidewater South. Cap'n Larry's first-hand account of a visit to Ft. Jefferson Prison where Dr. Samuel Mudd was once held captive by the Federals and his gripping tale of the trip back from Ft. Jefferson to Key West aboard a small craft in a raging squal was both harrowing and humorous.

A very good set of stories. A variety of short reads that cover many different topics to do with the Eastern coast.. Ken Rossignol has done a wonderful job of collecting these writings which make for an enjoyable collection.. They are the type of books that you will come back to over and over. The narrator did an excellent job.

Great histoy that is enjoyable & interesting!
