About this listen

"You’ve got to help me," she pleads.

On a wet road in the black of night, Karl Seabury is driving home to his pregnant wife. Suddenly, caught in his headlights in the middle of the road is a woman shaking with fright.

The woman says her name is Liz Smith, that her home was attacked, and that she was the only one to escape.

In a split-second decision, Karl decides to help her to safety. But Liz is hiding a dark secret, and now, his good deed has put his family in terrible danger....

An absolutely unputdownable thriller, with twist after twist after twist, that will leave you breathless. Perfect for fans of Robert Dugoni, John Marrs, and Harlan Coben.

Horrible audio and narration.

I think it may have been a good story if you could follow the narration. I had to listen to it via ear buds because the narrator's voice was so soft and hard to understand. I almost gave up on it and wish I had because when all was said and done I am not sure which characters were the good guys and which were the bad. Very confusing plot and the narration just added to the problem. Would not recommend unless you are into self punishment.

Hard to follow

Very hard to follow predictable story and ending. Took a long time to get in the story and not much excitement

Don’t buy this book

This book was so hard to follow, very fast pace and too many characters to keep track of. If you don’t have the time to follow this book closely than it’s not worth your time. I gave up trying to get into this book halfway through.

Boring

The real choice, the one I wish I made, is don’t bother. It wasn’t worth the credit. Dragged & dragged with a boring conclusion. I think the wife sat in the car for the entire finale.
