He got a job as a deputy sheriff in Tucson, a town torn by the Apache Wars. When he failed to bring in a gang of bank robbers, many doubted his ability to be a law officer. But after his dearest friend's murder, Dansing was determined. He followed the killer into the desert, to hell and back if necessary, to claim his vengeance and restore his honor. But four hard men, a killer, one lonely woman, and a blood-thirsty band of Apaches wanted Mort Dansing dead.

I had read the comments on Amazon.com and several of them said this writer was possibly the "new" Louis L'Amour. So I spent a credit. I'm not sure if those people ever read Louis L'Amour. That being said, the story isn't that bad. There are a few places that it seems a little far-fetched. Especially at the first when Dansing loses the bank robbers . . . the posse started through the desert and a sand storm covers the tracks so the goup has to go back. This guy was raised by the Apache . . . go check the water holes. After all, there aren't that many and they have to go to one of them. Then later . . . after going all day and all night and starting the next day with only the water in their canteens for them and their horses, Dansing does a show-off stunt in front of indains and they chase them. Running the horses for two miles they ease up and check to see if they have lost the indians. If you can get by things like that, the story can be enjoyable. Not A Bad Story
