The second book in the series is a multifaceted adventure with different groups competing to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. There are several main characters in this book. Author Kyla Stone skillfully creates each character and the different priorities of each. Love 'em or hate 'em, you'll know and remember who they are. Whenever people are faced with a crisis, who they really are is revealed. The important thing is to know who you are before it hits the fan. I highly recommend the audio book performed by Stacy Glemboski. It is excellent! -Mr.Bill.

As with all Kyla Stone’s books, it’s fast moving, gripping, and so well written! Stacey Glemboski is such a good reader. I have thoroughly enjoyed all her books!

And this series has rapidly become one of my favorite post apocalyptic stories. Mixing a murder mystery/hunt for a serial killer atop the backdrop of a collapsing society is fantastic.

I also felt like it was realistic, because the characters live in a rural area near a small town, so their society holds together a bit longer than the urban areas. Well worth a listen.
