About this listen

The New York Times best seller that tells the story of an overheated stock market and the financial disaster that led to the Great Depression of the 1930s.

A riveting living history about Black Tuesday, October 29, 1929. Captures the era, the intoxicating expectancy, the hope that ruled men's heart and minds before the bubble burst and the black despair of the decade that followed.

One of my Audible favorites

If you like history, this book is a winner. It is engaging, well-written, and fascinating. The author weaves stories of real people with events. I often jumped from one audiobook to another, this one I listened to from beginning to end without switching to another audio book. I also added many of the characters to my Wikipedia page so I could do further research on them. Well recommended.

Thorough and fascinating

Fascinating book. Well researched, detailed and broad in scope. Reads like a novel and hard to stop listening. Narration is excellent.
