About this listen

Dante Valentine, Necromancer and bounty hunter, just wants to be left alone. But the Devil has other ideas.

The Prince wants Dante. And he wants her now. And Dante and her lover, Japhrimel, have no choice but to answer the Prince's summons. And to fulfill a seemingly simple task: become the Devil's Right Hand, hunt down four demons that have escaped from Hell, and earn his gratitude.

It's a shame that nothing is ever easy when it comes to the Devil. Because of course, he doesn't tell Dante the whole truth: There is a rebellion brewing in Hell. And there is a good chance that Lucifer is about to be pushed off the throne.

But Dante is getting really tired of being pushed around. And this time, she might be angry enough to take on the Devil himself....

Performed by Colleen Delany, Christopher Scheeren, Joseph Thornhill, Joe Brack, Yasmin Tuazon, David Coyne, Terence Aselford, Dan Stevens, James Konicek, Mort Shelby, Casie Platt, Nanette Savard, Richard Rohan, Thomas Keegan, Elizabeth Jernigan.

First time dramatized telling

This is my favorite urban fantasy series by far and I was curious mid read to see if there was an audio book, lo and behold there was this one and I absolutely loved the cast. It truly felt if I closed my eyes I could picture every single scene.

Struggled with the FMCs VA

I love this series so much, but I really struggled with this GA. For some reason, the VA voicing Dante (FMC) struggled in performing in a clear & accurate way in my opinion. For example she would groan/moan in action sequences where I think it was totally off the mark.

There was also a few times that the background effects were too much for me in this one. And one of the characters had a really distorted voice that I was unable to understand the first few sentences they were saying.

Overall, not my favorite GA of this series because there were parts I felt I missed, from not being able to hear clearly. Plus, the Female VA for Dante didn’t perform to my liking.
