About this listen

"Walt Disney was... kidnapped?"

A Thrill Ride of Secrets, Lies, and the Dark Side of "Happiest Place on Earth"

From international best-selling author Robert J. Perreault comes a breakneck mystery thriller that will leave you breathless and doubting everything you thought you knew about the “Happiest Place on Earth.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“A masterclass in suspense. You'll never guess the ending!”

When Walt Disney is abducted from his office in Disneyland, FBI Agent Lacie Webb is plunged into an investigation that twists through the darkest corners of the legendary empire. Beneath the cheerful music, spinning teacups, and glowing castle, she discovers a labyrinth of cryptic riddles, buried secrets, and a conspiracy so dangerous, it could dismantle the legacy of Walt Disney himself.

But the riddles are more than just keys to the truth… they're a test. Each answer brings Lacie closer to unraveling a decades-old mystery, but also closer to becoming the next victim. As the clock ticks, the line between ally and enemy blurs, and even Lacie’s own sanity comes into question.

Who can she trust when the happiest place on Earth becomes the deadliest?

For fans of Dan Brown and Harlan Coben, The Disney Riddles is a pulse-pounding rollercoaster of deception, danger, and shocking revelations. Nothing is what it seems, and no one—past or present—can be trusted.

Are you ready to uncover the truth behind the magic?

Virtual voice awful - story ok

While the premise of the story is ok, it could have been developed more. The real distraction is the virtual voice narration - awful

Disappointed

I will start by saying I am a HUGE fan of Disney, so that is why I chose to listen to this book. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. First of all, the virtual voice narration was HORRIBLE. You cannot use a virtual voice on a story that needs to be suspenseful or in any way emotional. Also, the virtual voice pronounced things like DISNEYLAND wrong and it drove me nuts. Secondly, there were definitely Disney facts in this story that were incorrect. I understand the story was fictional, but when you are writing a fictional story about a real place, the facts about that place should be correct, if there is one thing you cannot get away with, it's incorrect facts about Disney when Disney fans are listening to the story. Lastly, I actually did like the storyline, but the virtual voice and the incorrect information turned me off.

Awful narration, missing content

The cadence of this reading was almost intolerable. It was slow and stilted, so I ended up listening at 1.2 speed. Several chapters appear to skip the beginning of the chapter, as the narration abruptly starts in the middle of words. If it was not a Disney-themed storyline, it would have been deleted from my app after Chapter 1.

It's Sleeping Beauty's castle!!!

I really thought I would love this book as I am a Disney lover but how do you write a book about Disneyland and Walt Disney and not even know who's castle is at what park? That was enough for me to stop listening. For the record, Sleep Beauty's Castle is in CA and Cinderella's, which they refer to in this book, is in FL and at the time wasnt even built yet.

Needs to be edited

Too many errors. Storyline doesn't follow through... there was really no plot line. Lots of characters mentioned, but I got lost on what was actually suppose to be happening..

Read (and written?) by AI

The story was about Disney, but that’s all I liked. I normally love investigative stories, but this one was clunky, awkward, and felt wrong. The AI reader did not help bring the story to life and probably made the story more awkward than it was. There were significant editing errors and the story, while obviously fiction, did not follow investigative processes realistically in any way. Very disappointing.

Really poor storytelling

The pros was really poorly written, the dialogue was choppy and unnatural, and the choice of using a virtual narrator led to a very robotic reading of the story
