About this listen

Ecstasy, or extasis, is the Greek term for trance, and is linked with a pleasurable, God-given state of out-of-body experience recorded throughout the New Testament and the church age. Starting with the apostles ecstatic experiences on Pentecost, the Book of Acts further records trances in the lives of Peter and Paul. From the early church to the Christian mystics of the Middle Ages and the famous revivalists of centuries present, God s movements on the Earth have always been marked by these supernatural experiences.

In this audiobook, John Crowder takes us on a journey from Old Testament ecstatic prophets such as Samuel and Elijah, to the future ecstatics who will usher in a massive wave of harvest glory to the streets in these last days. God has always wanted a people who live in the Heavens, even as they walk on the Earth. And the world is hungry for the demonstration of a gospel of supernatural power that flows from a life of divine pleasure. More than a state of mind, you will see how the nature of God s ecstasy is found in the joy, bliss and inner raptures of his presence. In this audiobook, you will be encouraged to drink from the river of his pleasure! (Ps. 36:8)

Many of the reviews are very harsh on the performance of the voice artist. It didn’t distract me from the text. I thought he did a pretty good job. Perhaps he wasn’t the perfect choice for this book, but it worked on the content, I love so much hearing about how God‘s love has manifest in people in places over the course of church history it’s remarkable, and inspiring. If you’re a Christian, or someone curious about Documented accounts of heaven interacting with earth, you thoroughly enjoy this book.

Each chapter my heart longed ever more to experience the love of God.

This book gives a great biblical and historical view on the presence of God and the working of miracles. Best book I've read on the subject!

loved it

Awesome audiobook... even though it's not read by the author. Now I want to listen again or purchase the paper copy and share it with friends. I especially loved his street evangelism stories and tactics.

I enjoyed this book , my pastor actually recommended that the church read it . I’m so glad I did , it opened my eyes up to so much more possibilities then I ever thought about. It expanded my thinking and gave me a new perspective on life , God , myself and others . Thank you .

A mind blowing read

The overall book was good, however, the narrator was very dry in his performance. Thanks

good book, bad narration.

I so wanted to have the audible version of this book. The content is impactful and is highly recommended by my pastor as well. However, the narrator ruined the experience and I almost gave up as he blandly read the Preface, but by the first chapter he lost me. A very poor choice performer with a poor quality raspy voice and dry, bland narration. Could he sound any more uninterested in what he’s reading with no voice inflection and rolling stops over periods as if they were commas? I am unable to absorb or process what should be a performance befitting the author’s work. I’ve ordered the book itself and will be able to appreciate the subject as it should be. The audible version will be returned to get my credit back. Please, Audible, consider a redo with a more appropriate narrator. The book and author deserve better.

Please. please get another narrator
