About this listen

Tim LaHaye's most exciting series ever, Babylon Rising, continues with this explosive new installment, including more revelations than ever before.

In The Edge of Darkness, LaHaye reveals the meaning behind some of the most carefully guarded Biblical prophecies to expose a conspiracy with terrifying consequences for our modern world.

This time Michael Murphy sets off in search of the Lost Temple of Dagon and the dark secrets of the strange god once worshipped by the ancient Philistines. His quest will lead to a final confrontation with an old enemy and uncover one of the Bible's most feared warnings, a prophecy of false miracles, false messiahs, and ultimate evil that will be fulfilled in our time...and that not even Murphy can stop once it's begun.

Once again, Tim LaHaye combines his unmatched insight into Biblical prophecy with his unique skills as a master storyteller to deliver a suspense thriller of nonstop action with a thought-provoking message for our troubled times.

I enjoyed this series so much! I found myself looking for another book in the series. I was on the edge of my seat and had to stop the story to take a break several times. I do feel like the story wasn't completed. It needed to have a proper ending for the characters! Perhaps another book in memory of Tim Lahaye?

If you could sum up The Edge of Darkness in three words, what would they be?

It's an adventure

What other book might you compare The Edge of Darkness to and why?

The rest of the series. Hope there is a book 5

Which scene was your favorite?

The scenes I like best are the challenges from Methuselah. I like all the history and how Murphy puts the puzzle together

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

For the whole series it everytime Murphy finds the treasure. Wish there was less romance. In this book it's when Murphy gets back at Talon

Any additional comments?

I love these books. I've listened several times to the all 4 so far. But Murphy, as Methuselah calls him, is a blunder head. Don't get me wrong. I really get engaged in these stories, so much so that I find myself yelling at Murphy on many occasions. Despite that I love all the history Murphy teaches. Wish I could take one of his classes. I'm champing at the bit for book 5. I like Paul Michael as the reader. Hope they continue to use him.

Murphy is no Indiana Jones
