Why isn't this guy more famous

I found Jon Land in the audible included. After listening to a couple of his books I'm hooked. On the level with the Gray Man and Jack Reacher.

Interesting story.

Tough going in the beginning. Narrator tended to talk in a monotone so not as fun to listen to as some others. Kind of got used to him so did finish.

Great concept

Land wrote good book 30 yrs ago - amazing how the political & global issues were same back then. For readers today there is way too much narrative and I sometimes just wanted him to get to the point. still a good read tho

Not bad, not brilliant.

The story was implausible, as were some characters. This was confusing considering the seriousness of what seemed to have been intended.

Confused

I will give the benefit of doubt to the author much more intelligent than me. Had a difficult time following multiple characters with multiple names. Plot felt unnecessarily complicated. Remember though one man’s water is another man’s wine.

Ruined by narrater

Absolutely horrible narration. Something you would expect while reading fairy tales to your grandchildren at bedtime. Not sure how narrators are screened but someone dropped the ball on this one.
