Where does The Fairy in the Tale rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The reader did an excellent job in creating the two characters, Prudence Willowfig and Hugo, the boy she helps. Her diction is quite marvelous, each word beautifully enunciated in an otherworldly English accent. What other book might you compare The Fairy in the Tale to and why?
Tinkerbell Academy, where fairies must earn their wings.Have you listened to any of Sybil Johnson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No.Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Definitely. It is a short tale.Sweet tale, beautifully read

Prudence must complete the New Leaf challenge in order to earn her wings. She goes through several obstacles and tests but then she is taken off course by some unusual sounds. They are the sounds of humans. Fairies aren't supposed to expose themselves to humans but Prudence makes the choice to speak to this one. He is crying. She knows that this could compromise her test but isn't helping someone more important than passing him by.
The only thing that I wish would have been different was the ending. I would have liked it to have been more definitive. It was very open ended.
This is a great story about how taking a moment to help someone doesn't just help that person but can make you feel good too.
The narrator was very animated and brought the story to life. She did Prudence's character very well. I really enjoyed listening to this book. I think it would be a great story for a child.
