About this listen

Getting hitched to a fallen angel in Las Vegas wasn’t in my job description...

When you work undercover for an organisation like The Covenant to protect humanity from the apocalypse, you follow orders. And that includes marrying a sinfully sexy fallen angel called Lock, who also happens to be a King of Hell.

The weird thing is, Lock seems familiar to me, and he acts like we’re meant to be together. He’s also convinced The Covenant aren’t who they say they are. But can I trust a fallen angel with my life or this dangerous, seductive pull between us? Especially when it feels like he’s hiding something...

But marrying Lock will ensure my protection when we descend into Hell to put a stop to a heist inside The Inferno. And I’ll need all the protection I can get, because it turns out a human marrying a fallen angel is a big no-no.

So now it’s not just demons after us, but angels, too. Will I be able to protect humanity - and my heart - during our journey to Hell and back?"

accents...

This narrator should not do any book that requires any kind of accent. This book was unlistenable.

GREAT READ!

I really enjoyed it! This book is full of action, drama, humor, suspense ad romance. The narration was great and kept me entertained. The author did a great job with the character builds and plot. I look forward to reading more books in this series! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Narrator Problems

I really liked this series but the narrator has ruined it for me. Her voice was too high and couldn’t manage most of the other character voices to anything more than a cartoon version of what they should be. If she is the narrator for the next in the series I don’t think I will be able to finish it. Really a disappointment.

losing the plot...

I have generally enjoyed the books up to this point... the Scottish Irish something kind of accent that's happening here misses the mark by well over a mile... and it may just be the narration that has got me slightly irritated or the fact that this story seems to kind of miss the plot and just have more of their internal dialogue that drones on for a chapter with absolutely nothing happening and just repeating previous thoughts but I found myself skipping through a lot of the chapters just cuz it felt like it was droning on. I couldn't understand what everybody was doing and why they were doing it it's just kind of seemed very haphazard I'm almost finished and I'm still skipping through. the book in narration has fallen flat.

Narration is Not A Fit

I have been really enjoing this seriesband was exited to get Lock's story, but the narration absolutely killed the flow for me. For me there where to major problems. Her male voice wouldn't have even been able to pull off a twelve year old boy let alone an fallen angel. Then her accent work was not acceptable. She did a great job for what I thought Joan would sound like but this book needed dual narration.

Painful

I have listened to all these books so far and I’ll have to say this one was so painful to have to listen to. The narration was beyond horrible, I stuck it out and prayed for the ending to come just to stop having to listen to the way she was telling/reading the story. I might of gotten into it more if she didn’t make all the women sound so stupid. Like Bea she made her sound like princess Barbie or something… The men’s characters didn’t stand a chance with her “accents” if she was lucky to keep them straight! Good story line but definitely painful to sit through and hear her tell the story.
I’m hopeful that the next book has better narration, I can’t sit through another one like this one.

So far the worst book of the series.

Can’t imagine who chose this horrible voice for the book. A girly girl voicing a huge Scottish-ish demon…Such a waste. And so many repetitions in the story! 6,7,8 times the same sentences. More than annoying.
