Featuring Simon Kernick's maverick detective, Tina Boyd, this is the gripping new race-against-time thriller by the best-selling author of Relentless, The Last 10 Seconds and Stay Alive.
'It's night, and I'm in a strange house. The lights are on and I'm standing outside a half-open door. Feeling a terrible sense of foreboding, I walk slowly inside. And then I see her. A woman lying sprawled across a huge double bed. She's dead. There's blood everywhere. And the most terrifying thing of all is that I think her killer might be me ...'
A traumatic car-crash. A man with no memory, haunted by nightmares. When the past comes calling in the most terrifying way imaginable, Matt Barron is forced to turn to the one person who can help. Ex Met cop, turned private detective, Tina Boyd. Soon they are both on the run.....

What made the experience of listening to The Final Minute the most enjoyable?
It is entertainment from the first to the last minute. What other book might you compare The Final Minute to and why?
Only Simon Kernick is able to write a such book, why The Final minute can only be compared to some of his earlier books. However, in my opinion, The Final Minute is his best novel so far because Simon Kernick has written less unrealistic events in this book.Have you listened to any of Paul Thornley’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Wery well, indeed. Paul Thornley is my number one.Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, not really. But dividing it to 12 - 18 parts while taking a daily walk makes the walking alot easier, even in lousy weather.Any additional comments?
Of course, Simon Kernick books are nothing for "deep thinkers", only great entertainment with some unrealistic parts just as in a 007 James Bond film.A great novel without any boring parts.
