Publisher's summary

Behind every decision lies an attitude.

The Five Hazardous Attitudes are Anti-authority, Invulnerability, Macho, Impulsivity, and Resignation. Aircraft accident investigators have found that at least one of these hazardous attitudes have played a role in almost every aircraft accident. But pilots are not the only people who sometimes crash.

As a leader, Ricky has helped people who have crashed their career, business, marriage, or their life. The good news is each Hazardous Attitude has a corresponding antidote. Useful for everyone, not just pilots.

As a professional pilot, flight instructor, and a pastor, Ricky's passion is helping people identify Hazardous Attitudes and teaching them how to deploy the antidotes to overcome them. The book is written as a fable with compelling stories that are followed up with clear points of application. The Five Hazardous Attitudes is a must listen for anyone wanting to be better as it relates to self-awareness and leadership.

Eye opening experience!

I consider myself a pretty self aware person. This book really exposed both blatant and potential blind spots I have. This book is not for those whose litmus of a good book is 7 syllable words and eloquent soliloquies aimed primarily at piquing the fancies of snobs & critics. Nope. This isn’t that. I can imagine the author COULD take that path considering, I would suppose, the cognitive prowess needed to possess the unique combination of being pilot and a pastor. He, however, kept it simple enough for the average reader to absorb, yet complex enough to rouse the internal conversations and challenge the ‘humble brag’ of ‘self aware learners’ like myself. This was an excellent book. I highly recommend it for those courageous enough to ‘just see’ if they find themselves within its pages.

This is a needed view on attitudes everyone should hear.

I love the Author gives non-fictionlike stories centered around fresh intriguing explanations on people attitudes. These stories are so thought provoking. They make you research your own life, and people you surround yourself with decisions you make. The ultimate best part is how the Arthur relates things to his past and current careers, where attitude determines if you're hired. And in the end you have a choice to be Saved.
This read or audio will be a true blessing.
