About this listen
Outlaws had smashed his life, left his wife dying, and carried off his son. Now all Frank Morgan wants is to hang up his guns and settle down in peace. But all that changes when he rides into the middle of a Montana range war, where a valley has been ripped apart by hatred and fears...and where his legend proves to be as dangerous as his gun.
The blood of innocent men, women, and children has been shed. On one side is a small army of ranchers; on the other a stubborn band of farming families. With each side suspecting that the other brought in Frank Morgan, the gunman's reputation fans the flames of war. But a strange thing happens to a man who has been living a wanderer's life. In a battle that's not his, Frank must choose a side, make a stand, and be willing to die for a place some people will call home....
Performed by Ken Jackson, James Konicek, Karen Carbone, Steve Carpenter, Andy Clemence, Christopher Graybill, Richard Rohan, Terence Aselford, James Lewis, Michael John Casey, Michael Replogle, Mort Shelby, David Coyne, Michael Glenn, Thomas Penny, Dylan Lynch, Johann Dettweiler, Elisabeth Demery, Colleen Delany, Nanette Savard, Nathanial Perry, Bryan Patton, Greg Reinfeld.

Story
Orphaned at the age of seven and adopted by Indians, Jami Ian MacCallister grew into a man more at ease in the wilderness than among men. But when the westward strike drove him across the Arkansas Territory into Texas, he finally found himself a home — in the middle of a bloody war. Texans like Jim Bowie and Sam Houston were waging a fierce struggle against Santa Ana’s Mexican army and Jami MacCallister made the perfect scout for the fledgling volunteer force.

Story
There’s nothing particularly unusual for a legendary gunman to be summoned to the lawless, bullet-riddled territory of Arizona. But when Frank Morgan, a.k.a. the Last Gunfighter, rides into Tucson, he finds himself ambushed and kidnapped by ruthless Mexican bandit Ramirez’s army of thugs. The only way out is for Frank’s son, Conrad Browning, heir to the vast Browning fortune, to ransom his father free. But Conrad isn’t giving up one cent. He’s got a far deadlier currency in mind.

Story
The great state of Texas is a land of opportunity. For outlaws. And horse thieves. And cattle rustlers. Not to mention bank robbers, train robbers, and anything-that-ain’t-nailed-down robbers. The state’s governor, Richard B. Hubbard, is at the end of his rope. He wants to clean up Texas once and for all—and he’s desperate enough to try something crazy: hire a man who can do what the Texas Rangers can’t. A man not tied down by a wife or children. Or rules. Who’s not afraid to go outside the law.

Story
When Ben Savage receives a telegram informing him that an old friend died - and left him his saloon - he’s not sure what to think. Western saloons are as wild as it gets, full of rowdy ranchers and cocky cowboys, high-stakes gamblers and low-life drifters, hard liquor and easy women. Then there’s the occasional outlaw gang. But when Savage travels to Buzzard’s Bluff, Texas, to check out his inheritance, he meets the saloon’s lovely manager, Rachel Baskin, and has a change of heart.

The Forbidden
This is the fourth book about Frank Morgan. Frank ends up in a range war. There is a lot of action in this book and a good plot. I didn't like the town folks there cowards and don't appreciate the help Frank gave them. This is a good book. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you

Frank almost made in Heaven
Good book. I was rooting for Frank in this one. I know it wouldn't be as there more books to come. I had hoped his life would turn out like Smoke and Sally Jensen s

Great Story and Performance
This is the second series I have listened to. The first series. Luke Jensen was great. I only have one issue. The first was Frank Morgan’s dog, Wolf nearly killed and in this book animals were killed. I am an animal lover and it brings nothing to the story. I will say I love the characters and the stories. The performanaces are top notch. Please, just don’t kill anymore animals!!!
