Trickery and Romance

I am not one for romance novels - but this story of two who met, became uncommon friends and the romance that evolved with unbelievable events to allow the budding relationship to bloom is simply (well maybe not so simply - LOL) beautiful.
The history of Clint and how facts unfold as well as how it was all resolved - had me guffawing and cheering throughout.

Well written and fun and sometimes enchanting.
We all would love a Walt Marlow in our lives - well, at the very least, I Do.

Possible *SPOILERS!*

I have been binge listening to these stories and haven’t left a review up until now, mostly because I wanted to get to the next story, they have all been engaging enough to be worthy of the continued listening. There are many instances within most chapters where it seems like the author has written out all the potential ways they would like to deliver a bit of information and somehow forgotten to remove the additional ones. Hearing the same bit of information repeated several ways can become wearisome, but that is my only real gripe.
For the possible *SPOILER*-
The pseudo-dreamhop that Danielle has at the end had me crying and grabbing for more tissues. As someone who has lost a father not too long ago, this hit so close to home. I still speak with my dad every day and sometimes find little things from him, so this was really touching and made me want to continue on.
Devoted fan of the series now that will continue to recommend to others. ❤️

Great Series

I don't think I've ever been so frustrated with characters. I find a lot of judgeyness in these books. that irks the crap out of me. But Kelly and Joe are the worst!! I'm not done with this book yet. I really hope someone puts Kelly in her place.

Love hate kinda feeling for this book!

I’m new to this series but have enjoyed it thus far. It’s never been perfection but what story or performance is? While I love many parts of this book I found myself almost giving up on it several times.

The teenager like judgy attitudes displayed again and again with Joe and Kelly went over the top in my opinion this book. It was irritating! Secondly, I’m not sure why but the main character Danielle has been getting more naive and/or gullible the last few books. That really doesn’t make since after 19 books of her solving these mysteries. I guess I’m more or less just venting. I did actually stick with the book and enjoyed most it.

challenges and joy

Borrowed through my Audible Plus membership.
This book and series is best enjoyed when read in order.
Preparations for their Wedding are in full swing when 3 separate groups from Clint’s past arrive to complicate their lives. Danielle and Walt must navigate their deceits and resentments to clear the way. Lily and Ian receive some good news that complicates both couple’s lives. Add in a majorly cranky, overreactive and animal hating new neighbor to spoil the vibe on Beach Drive. Sheesh!
Nordlinger did an ok job of narration.
