I have enjoyed the whole series.

This is one of those cozy mystery series that you can listen to one after the other. The perfect setting, good characters, and enough mystery, treasure, and surprises to keep each book fresh.

Love These Mysteries

I really enjoy this series. It doesn’t get dull or predictable. I’ll say it again...@ Hallmark Channel should make it into a series!!

Intriguing

I have followed this series from the start. It’s almost like these characters are family now. Interestingly, I feel the least close to Danielle. She's just kind of blah. I would really like to see her described as more appealing than someone described as 15 pounds overweight, cute, but not pretty. She so often is unsophisticated in her conversations, not snarky but too unprofessional which doesn't jive with her having owned a marketing firm. Her comments consist of her repeating back what the other person said as if the person just said something ridiculous or her first comment is "what do you mean"? This isn't respectful to the other person and she comes off as direct and dismissive. This is a technique that makes the other person feel small and invalidates their opinion. She should be able to have superior comprehension with her sixth sense and yet she so often can't figure out what someone is implying, trying to explain or warn her about. Unfortunately, now other characters are doing the same thing. It is so repetitive and annoying. She is not especially endearing as so many of the other characters are. Her actions sometimes seem like she is TSTL. I really like all of the secondary characters and of course Walt, our star. I would like to see more chemistry between Walt and Danielle if they are to be a believable couple and more of Walt applying his world to Danielle’s and him helping her to be more unique in dress and polished in manner to match his sophistication. In many instances, her wardrobe consists of a red sweater paired with leggings or skinny jeans with boots, or a tee shirt with her plaid pajama bottoms. Please enough of the fishtail braid. Also, please enough of the NCIS girl vampire look for Heather as well, that's so yesterday and insupportable for her character. This group of friends are in their 30's, not teens or 20-somethings. I think readers would enjoy a well-dressed Danielle. Walt is unfailingly sharply put together and rarely wears "denims". Sounds like she could use some help with her wardrobe choices, hair and makeup. ......I loved their fantasy dream hop dancing 20’s style and their sailing trip when Walt was dressed in his sailing whites and showing Danielle his world instead of always trying to fit him into her world. I was swept away. IMO, Danielle's character could use a little more development, more intelligence, tenderness, and closeness between ODC and fewer sleazy characters among the criminals. Even some of the characters are a tiny bit on the sleazy side such as Carla, Adam, Joe and Kelly. I do like how Adam has been redeemed and maybe he will stop going to those websites, fingers crossed!

Gets better & better!

I love this series so much. Thank goodness there are so many books! I'll be sad when it finishes.
So why is this book one the best? Two words, Walt & Danielle ❤️
