About this listen

Florida's coast - from Amelia Island to the Keys to Apalachee Bay - serve as fitting backdrops for these chilling yarns of mystery and intrigue. Where else but Florida can you find a greater treasure trove of tales filled with pirates, shipwrecked sailors, ghostly sea captains and lost tribes of Native Americans?

From haunted lighthouses to ghost ships to sea serpents, these 17 family-friendly stories will captivate listeners of all ages. And there's no better storyteller than Doug Alderson, a naturalist and award-winning writer who has explored every mile of Florida's coast in scouting the Florida Circumnavigational Saltwater Paddling Trail.

the stories are pretty good and the author has some history provided in reference to the story. I just don't happen to like the narrator's voice.

when it bought this i was expecting actual ghost stories from St. Augustine but there are more fictional tales made up by the authors which is a shame when there are so many actual ghost stories that could and should have been included. I've been to St Augustine many times and the stories actually from there are so much better and more interesting.
